Is this the only CVS in town, and also the only way to get a prescription?
Seems like the folks that need it, should just shop elsewhere.
Have you ever had medication prescribed to you?

If she's an otherwise good worker, making an allowance for a conscience issue shouldn't be a problem at all
So now, corporate policy is judged case by case? Another solid business plan.

However, if they are a good worker in every other respect, then making an allowance for something like this shouldn't be a problem. My comment wasn't about the existence of an accommodation, but the impact of the accommodation based on the employee's performance.

As someone who has been a people manager, there was a lot I was willing to tolerate for someone who worked hard and didn't abuse my generosity or the flexibility of the company.

Yes. Sometimes I had to go to another pharmacy based on availability. I didn’t even die.

I think this is just the company she works for saying we sell birth control pills, that’s part of the job. If you don’t do that part of your job, you no longer work here. Nazis!
So if my company says you have to work on your sabbath or don’t work here at all, that’s going to be perfectly fine?
Pretty sure we still have what’s called religious freedom.
This is equal employment opportunity.

She didn't.

Of course, the federal government cannot seem to keep his filthy hands off of anything, so we have the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972.

The useless Warren and Berger courts expanded the Commerce Clause to give Congress the authority to regulate this sort of thing.
Thanks to them, we are no longer a country with a Constitutionally-limited federal government.

In 2023 A.D. why would anyone need a prescription to buy birth control pills ?
Because some nut would down a bunch thinking it will double and triple protect her.
We have to protect the really dumb ones.

This is what I was getting at without remembering the name at first.
So basically they say you should accommodate strongly held religious beliefs.

Basically, SCOTUS has (erroneously) decided that the Commerce Clause gives Congress the authority to do … pretty much any fricking thing that Congress wants to do.

Does it really matter? Why so insecure doc?
If a phlebotomist refused to do blood draws being used for transfusions on patients because she’s a Jehovah then she can be fired.

We agree. I think it’s bs. But the precedent has been set.

Where is this right in the Constitution/Bill of Rights? Where is the right to birth control enshrined in the law?
Where does it say you can be denied something that is related to your general welfare?
