Cuomo repeated his warning that New York needs major financial help from Washington — and without it, the state will suffer the consequences.
Good they need to suffer the consequences, so their citizens can see the incompetence they elected.

he said that without $30 billion in federal aid over the next two years, he’ll have no choice but to “take very dramatic actions” that even he believes will be counterproductive to New York’s economy.
That would be a great thing if dramatic action happens maybe it would bring them back to sanity.

Louisiana cut education and healthcare at least 3 times when I lived there.
Why can’t New York stomach this? It’s a disaster they created.

Cuomo indicated that the state’s schools and health care system, as well as local governments themselves, were at risk of major cuts without federal relief.
That sounds like a solution, not a problem.

Seems like they have a handle on both the cause and the solution.
So let me see. New York overspends. They run out of money. Their awful politicians they elected enacted ridiculous pension plans for their workers that are going to become due rather than deal with the problem with their labor when it occurred.
Yes, you find it hard to believe but new York just kicked the can down the road for years. They knew this disaster was coming, the virus just brought this issue here a couple of years early.
Also California had this issue. All this crowing they had about a surplus was stupid talk considering how much unfunded pensions they knew they were going to have to pay out.
These are not problems brought about by the viruses. These were issues that everyone knew was coming. The virus just hastened it's arrival.

Sorry NY. No bailout for you. Figure it out. While you have looked down your collective noses at the rest of the plebian country, you forgot the plank in your own eye.
Now suffer for it.
Now suffer for it.

Give him a good spanking instead.

All prog cities allowed rioting are poorly run are always bankrupt, always getting bailed-out.
Cuomo lost the wealthy in NYCity. DeBlasio is a loser and a joke.

I shite you not, I used to have an employee that came to me one day and tell me that she was thinking about quitting and moving to upstate New York. I asked her if she had a job prospect there. She said No, but the government assistance (Food stamps, etc) was much higher there than in Alabama. She was married to a dude with 3 kids from another relationship, kept getting put in jail for failure to pay child support, and wouldn't get a job. She had a mixed kid with another guy. I just told her "good luck".
