LOL.

So, if my business was heavily in debt and on the verge of bankruptcy before the Covid outbreak, you think it’s fair for taxpayers to bail out my company and make it solvent?

frick you and New York State

Or another company should - since y'all companies and all...

Ya know, it's idiots like you that sometimes make me wish that a Zombie Apocalypse WEREN'T simply fiction....

If the zhit really WERE to hit the fan, you and your fellow Blue State c@ck gobblers would last about a day and a half before you all became a big steaming pile of Zombie turds whilst the Hillbillies and Rednecks you morons look down on would simply say "hey, it's Thursday, time for deer steak"......

Just kidding, I know you're actually just a troll, probly' an alter....

That's not the point....the point is that Kentucky is a leach and NY is a producer and McConnel says bailing out NY is unfair but the annual bailout of his state of Kentucky is more than fair.

States dont pay taxes.

Most people dont really understand the debtor/donor state studies. They just know they saw it in an press clipping and the one quote confirmed their bias.

There is no correlation between red/blue states and higher levels of TANF/SNAP/UE benefits. Not a consistent one anyway.

Progressive tax policy and FICA gaps are the primary causes for debtor/donor states.

Higher cost of living places pay higher salaries which are taxed at a higher effective rate. If you want to flatten this Im all for it lol.

If you're a net retirement state (more retirees entering than leaving) then you pay a price in those studies. But it's not a true reflection of makers/takers by region.

None of this actually matters though in how separate sovereign states have decided to finance their government. That's their business not mine.

Funny story. The Treasury just bailed out over 30% of New York's private sector via SPVs with the Fed facilitated by Blackrock

Makes you think

Very good post

Op is conflating two things

He is trying to argue that New York State’s budget getting bailed out is no different than Kentucky CITIZENS getting federal relief. I think it’s a huge difference

We have a national tax system that is progressive. That means that poorer state populations are going to get more than they pay. It’s the system working as designed. But the KENTUCKY GOVERNMENT isn’t getting the money

Compare that to what the OP wants.

He wants federal money to go to NY’S COFFERS

Hospitals have been given plenty of money. The fact is the larger states want money to bail out underfunded pension funds that over offered sky high benefits to government employees. They were irresponsible and now want a bailout.

Be a real man , you know why there is an issue.

Black men (not all) are more interested in being in a "posse" than being in a marriage.

Shenaynay with 7 kids from 5 different fathers doesn't help.

Ironically I think NY is one of the most funded state pension systems in the country. So his point is moot.

I guarantee your filth would be asking the red states for "foreign aid" very quickly.

Remember , we would cut our welfare roll and the food stamp roll.

They would flock to blue states.

He thinks food comes from a machine like on Startrek. Without the red states, there would be no food for blue states. That steak or pork chop comes from hogs and cows, not not 60s Sci-Fi machine!

Just said why not bailout Blue states like New York when red states like Kentucky are bailed out annually by New York tax payers LOL. Finally, someone with the cajones to point out the incredible refusal of the right to admit most red states take from federal coffers while most Bluestates fill those coffers. No one in a red state that receives more money from Washington than the state sends to Washington has any business talking about being a producer...they are welfare recipients, pure and simple, the same thing as a teen living in Mama and Daddy's house, not paying rent and complaining about the internet speed!

States don’t pay income tax to Washington, people do. I just wrote a check for 8700 over and above what was taken out of my paycheck. Don’t tell me I have no right to bitch.
