Cult of Personality

Everyone knows what it means right? It's not just a song ... it's a communist thing. No, seriously, it is. Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Mao ... all of'em knew what it was all about and used it to their advantage.
Bottom line is that the media has to be complicit in making someone like, let's say, Barrack Obama a god. Which they did.
To a lesser extent they are trying to do it with this Ford gal. That's a bit unusual because they usually reserve these kind of media blitzes for those they deem able to institute massive social change towards socialism or communism ... major leaders of their cause.
That they are doing this with Ford is a sign of how desperate they are to stop Kav's confirmation - how important it is to them not to lose SCOTUS.
Everyone should educate themselves on Cult of Personality and learn to recognize it and call it out for what it is ... and educate others. There are tons of good information about it out there.
(I know many around here already know what it's all about but some do not. We are witnessing something historical here in how they are pulling out all the stops for this Ford woman. It's something worth paying close attention-to because it is really a first.)

Cults of personality are created to insulate people from legitimate criticism. The most obvious one is John Kennedy, who was a horrible person, a terrible President and a warmonger, who was as responsible for the death and destruction in Vietnam as was LBJ. However, the MSM treats Kennedy as a saint, and my view of him is an iconoclastic one.

There is some truth to that. Trump is experiencing cult of personality too. However, the role of the media is quite different with him. They’ve created a negative cult of personality.
Also, at least with MAGA, there were and are specific planks to the platform behind the slogan. Hope and change was all slogan with a hidden agenda.

I'll make it simple for you.
"Change" ... was widely touted as the gospel by the MSM and their socialist communist progressive minions. Wear a "Change" hat or t-shirt and you might be given a free meal or be gleefully approached by a like-minded stranger for casual conversation about what a Godsend Obama was.
"MAGA" ... has been widely touted as an evil catch phrase by the MSM and their socialist communist progressive minions. Key acronym here being "MSM" and their diametrically opposite coverages of "Change" and "MAGA." Wear a "MAGA" hat or t-shirt in public and you are likely to be denied service in some areas, even violently attacked while the attackers yell "Trump is evil!"
Yet you see no difference between the two.

I don't think it just applies to Leftists. Both Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump had and have a Cult of Personality. It just doesn't evolve to the extreme levels of violence like you see on the Left.

Not even close. Trump has to deal with RINOs, the left AND the MSM. And there are plenty of times when he even gets under the skin of some of us, his loyal supporters.
Difference is Trump is actually doing something we elected him to do ... drain the swamp. So we're sticking with him because there is absolutely no viable alternative - he is our only remaining hope to shake up D.C. and SCOTUS and the American public's minds for decades to come.
