Yes, Bitcoin is backed by nothing exactly like Fiat.
One could say Bitcoin is backed by math.
We know exactly how many Bitcoins there are and ever will be, we have no idea of the true nature of the USD with the corrupt FED.

So ?
I only take 1 dump a day.
Does that make my turd valuable?
I mean there are only 365 created per year.
Math makes them valuable I guess, eh ?

Once true quantum computing becomes a thing, all digital currencies become worthless.
You may want to Google post quantum cryptography.

Imagine having criticisms about the Fed and its printing press, then trusting something even more digital and intangible.
It depends on the coin. The total supply of Bitcoin is capped at 21 million coins.
Some crypto coins do print like the fed though.

Wow, you are so clever.
You need to look up the history of currency as used by humans.
Any value is based on the collective value placed on something. Look at the Rai stones of Micronesia etc. They had value because the collective society agreed they had value. There is also the degree of scariness involved such as gold or yes Bitcoin that is factored in.
With Bitcoin or other crypto the advantage is that everyone knows the rules., with fiat you are being lied to. A true audit of the Fed will never happen for a reason.

Using the dollar bill to whip your arse is almost cheaper than toilet paper. Almost. Getting closer everyday.

It’s fantastic for transacting internationally. For example sending a wire overseas is a PIA with fees, forms and it takes an overnight cycle. I can send a buyer in a foreign country bitcoin while I’m talking to them and confirm the transaction in real time. It’s like traveling the Atlantic via boat vs Jet plane

Yes, I can see crypto as very useful for international trade/transactions. It totally bypasses the regulatory middle man (except for gas fees of course).

So I can redeem my f-16?
I never interpreted being backed by the full faith if US government or the military this literally. I always understood it as "we are willing to go to war with you, regime change your shite or pull the plug on our own internet if we have to to keep the grift going"

Crypto bros., why isn't Bitcoin more widely used?
I think I read where the system can only process about 3 or 4 transactions per second. There is not enough computer power in the world to verify all the transactions if everyone was using it.

You seem converned. very very concerned.
However we all know that you hate it because Trump likes it. Powerbottoms like you have no critical thinking skills, and can only kneejerk between gloryhole visits.
Everyone in the know knows that John Nash was satoshi. It's the biggest open secret in the bitcoin space.

Something that isn't real is, well... Not real. It's play money, effectively. If you think the dollar is crashing, bitcoin will be a disaster for anyone who invests in it, thinking it will save them from collapse, in my opinion.
Invest in gold and silver, or just keep your cash. Crypto makes no sense. I won't touch the stuff.
