If the left claims a free speech martyr it helps free speech and it helps abc/dizney. But Ted is wrong on this.

He did. Networks have to operate in the public's best interest. Lying on National TV is not in the public's best interest.

Your bitch arse would be singing a different tune if it were you family member that was murdered. Don’t be so obtuse and you’re perpetuating the same f’ing lie as Kimmel.

It wasn’t a lie tho. The MAGA crowd was, and still is, pretty focused on making sure he was portrayed as an unhinged leftist. That’s all Kimmel said.

So another retard on this board that really believes the shooter was a Trump voter.

How did you celebrate Kirk's murder? Did you and your boyfriend dress in drag and read the dialogue between the killer and his gay/furry lover to preschoolers?

I didn’t say that, and I honestly don’t care. A psychopath with a gun killed Charlie Kirk, not a political ideology.

Rude, immature projection, but I promise I won’t judge you if you ever come out.

Actually he is wrong!

CBS is a station operating pursuant to a license granted by the federal government and subject to their rules laws and regulations

The fact that the FCC has let the rot set into these liberal stations is like everything else and then the bitches scream like stick pigs when there are consequences

There was an absolute reason you never saw this before - it was heavily regulated before cable

Right, right. But the FCC did chime in. Cruz says no bueno.

The killer even admitted that's why he did it.

With all the ramped up rhetoric this week by your heroes over Kimmel being canned, you may get lucky and have someone else shot you don't like.

He did it. A lot of you keep implying that “they” did it, and that Dems did it. The killer did it. He alone. That’s not complicated. Shoe on the other foot, I’m not blaming every conservative I know for the actions of one psychopathic murderer. That would be silly.

An FCC license requires both political viewpoints must be equally represented, unless its a news program.

Oh, really? What rule says that, what are the exceptions to it, and what are the specific requirements?

Or, are we just relying on sloganeering wholesale now?

For that matter, Kimmel could have been apolitical. Or attacked both sides. Or kept his fricking mouth shut until Charlie was in the ground.

This is it right here. Attack both sides or bow out. I don’t know what his rating were. I didn’t watch Kimmel. The wife watches Fallon. But if his rating were so bad, why wasn’t he pulled awhile ago?

I agree with Cruz here.
We shouldn’t be using government agencies to force firings of entertainers, podcasters or radio personalities that we don’t like.
Pressure on Kimmel should have been left solely to the public.

Mummy, where was the condemnation of government controlling media when conservatives were targeted?

Doesn't matter, Ted, it's going to happen to conservatives regardless...

I mean the FCC does have a say in regulating the public airwaves. ABC and these affiliates have federal licenses for broadcasting over th public airwaves and the Federal Communications Act gives the FCC the ability to ensure the public good is being served. The FCC can and has before regulated speech. There are things you can't do or say on the public airwaves. Kimmel knew or should have known what he said was false and the FCC boss threw the penalty flag. Kimmel's First Amendment rights aren't infringed: He is free say whatever he wants he just won't be saying it at ABC.

It's time the lying arse media is held accountable. What Kimmel said was a flat out dangerous lie. We all know that liberals will take any lie and claim it as fact even when faced with overwhelming evidence. They can't be reasoned with when facts are in front of them. They probably still believe in Santa.

Posting this unironically is hilarious.
