You are liberal leaning. What made you see CRT as so bad?
I am having a hard time breaking through the brainwashing of my progressive friends. They dont get that this is more than a continuation of civil rights. This is the dismantling of rationality, reason, a liberal society,etc.
They believe that current day discrimination (like against white farmers or white male restaurant owners) is ok to make up for past federal government discrimination.
I say that is wrong. I can give little on something more subjective like college admissions but these type of policies are flat out wrong and unconstitutional.
How do I get through to them?
The way to help blacks is strengthen the family. Strengthen poor communities of any color (which are disproportionally black).
Strengthen societal areas that are predominately black leaning.
There are ways to help without being discriminatory toward whites in the process and uphold the constitution.
And dont lower the standards!
And of course it is my belief that some black cultural adjustment needs to happen as a whole for any of this to matter.

Yeah history is a little off, but explanation is still pretty on point. Derek Bell was more or less the Founder of it in the 60's and 70's. But Kimberle Crenshaw kinda fused Black Liberation idiology with Black queer feminism and made the most popular version of CRT in the early 90's with Mapping the margins. That's where you really get the oppression matrix from and intersectionality. This whole Anti-racism Strain is more or less the last 15 years and fairly childish in comparison to the already absurd Crenshaw. But they all base it off of Critical Theory which can really trace back to Hegel and the Frankfurt School in the 19th Century... BS has been around for a while, and yes James Lindsay is the best source for all things woke. Dude can recite their dumb books and journals like scripture from the bible. For being an atheist, he sure does the Lord's work

Basically its impossible to fight logically because its literally made up. The crafters started with an outcome, realized that science and data did not support that outcome, so they created "social sciences" that explain the outcome.

Good read. Hillsdale has been fighting the good fight like no other liberal arts college for many decades.

Critical race theory just uses the Marxist theories of class warfare and replaces the class system with race. Wall Street and big tech love how they get to absolve themselves while fricking over ordinary people that almost no institutional power outside of voting every now and then.
