Highest number of daily deaths since pandemic began with over 1000 per day. Highest number of new cases with over 32K per day.
Vax rate is low, around 30%.
Still, Russia will not issue lockdowns or mandates. Some businesses are limiting occupancy, though, and requesting masks.
Moscow is by far the center of the outbreak.

I think there has been tens of thousands of deaths in America the past 18 months that were attributed to Covid-19 that in reality were not from Covid-19.

Cold weather will increase spread for multiple reasons
1) people congregate inside more
2) low humidity causes staplers to dehydrate/shrink and can float in the air longer
3) dry air/low humidity from heaters causes sinus issues
