As opposed to Obama complaining about the constitution getting in his way?

Neat blog site you posted there.

They make a claim, = The imposition of tariffs can have a profound negative impact on innovation across various industries.

then goes on to spew conjecture -
quote:

found that a 10% tariff on imports could reduce R&D investment returns in high-tech manufacturing by up to 50%.
Could reduce, not does reduce. This is all speculation by a blog site author to convince weak minded individuals that tariffs are bad

quote:

For rapid innovation you need more competition
not within the borders of a single country you dont. Competition can take place across the globe. You dont need to eliminate tariffs to create innovation.

Putting you beliefs in a blog is laughable

All communists/socialists prefer autocratic rule to constitutional rule. Thank god we still somewhat value our constitution, which protects us from autocratic rule.

Have you ever taken a macroeconomics class? This isn't a "claim." Its undisputed academic fact.

Its the checks and balances MAGA hates that keeps us from having a dictator.

If he was really a dictator he’d have long ago stopped obeying court rulings. He’d say something like “the court has made its ruling now let them enforce it.”

He didn't say he was a dictator.

I wasn't talking about Trump. If we didnt have our constitution, Obamas crew would probably have seized all power and Trump would never have faced him in an election.

From the tard who just said that ample competition isnt necessary within a nation to spur economic and technical advance.

Which proves you have never been a conservative a day in your life.

The president has to be able to set tariffs as part of foreign policy power.

If you rely on Congress to negotiate tariffs they won't ever happen. There is no way to logistically handle 535 people negotiating with a foreign leader.

Why is the conservative movement in favor of strong anti trust laws?

Al, you wasted several hours of your life by engaging RogerTheTard.....a poster who's intellectual dishonesty is rivaled only by Bunky, turdzana, SFP and a few others of the tard brethren.
I'm actually surprised Rog made it back. Figured he had passed on, was in prison or holed up with his new boyfriend somewhere.

One of the problems you guys have, and SFP and Roger have pointed out a million times is...there is no rule that every country should have the same tariff amount on each other. You guys created this mandate in your head for whatever reason that that's how the world is supposed to work. It's unrealistic and naive.
Dude you completely dodged the question.

Can you answer it?

The guy asked why is it perfectly fine for other counties to put tariffs on us but not us on them?

Not looking for whether you think it’s good or bad for any party.
