No. Liberals don't care. Heck they are going to be thrilled to be controlled by Delores Umbridge.

No, because D's will vote D no matter who it is. They have no moral compass and seek total power and control for all. R's in office are no different, but R voters typically will "stand" on their principles.

OP, are you so naive that you think that the Swalwell thing will be on the minds of the average voter all over the nation and play a significant role in how they vote in November?

By November Swalwell will be long forgotten.

Not one bit. This will be forgotten in a week.

Nancy and the rest of the Dems knew damn well what this guy was doing, despite their claims of knowing nothing.

At first it looked like their strategy in this was to simply reduce the California Dem field for governor to overtake the two Republicans. But this may turn out to be a runaway train with all of these women coming out with their tales of rape and assault.

I'm not sure Nancy knows much these days. This does look like it was amplified right now as oppo because of the gubernatorial race.

But as for the midterms, no. Gonzalez for the GOP was similarly bad and happened at the same time. I don't think Gonzalez has any rape allegations, but the staffer he abused literally set herself on fire, so it's pretty jarring. Both of these jokers are now or are soon to be out of Congress, as they should be.

The chances of a substantial percentage of the now 60-some percent of voters who disapprove of Trump seeing Swalwell's conduct and concluding that, in fact, the GOP broadly speaking is the lesser of two evils--especially when Trump has been accused of raping two underage girls and the GOP does nothing, whereas Swalwell is out--is pretty minimal.

Unless Trump can turn things around, it will be a slaughter. He probably can't turn things around because he's clearly in cognitive decline, and he has baked in a bunch of economic pain.
