I went in there the other day and had my 3 year old with me. They demanded that she wear a mask. I explained that she has a medical condition and cannot. Greeter lady acted like she didn’t hear me, continued to press, so I took a mask and walked off, my 3 year old is not going to wear one of those things.

Where is the enforcement on La law and what the governor has said? No child under 8 is required to wear one. I get that these are private businesses but at what point do they have to follow the damn law, and let’s not even mention using common sense.

I hate these damn things and I want our world back from one year ago.

The law is a minimum, they can have whatever policy they want as long as it meets that minimum.

Their business... they can do what they want. They can't go less than the law, but they can certainly go over and above it.

In the future, though... take the mask, put it on your child, then when you get past the "check in lady", just take it off your child.

Was this the first time you’ve been to Costco in the past 9 months? Masks have been mandatory in their stores for quite a while now.

Yes it was actually. Haven’t been in over two years and decided to go back for obvious reasons (quality products) and was just sharing frustration with the stupidity of this mask situation but most specifically how it relates to all of our kids.

I’m sure the majority of people feel the same way.

I have some sympathy then if you had not been to Costco recently.

However I will say if you have a child with a condition which would prevent her from wearing a mask, then perhaps she shouldn’t be out and about until people are done with the mask requirements. Or perhaps she could wear one of the clear face shields. Those always make me laugh when I see people wearing them.

I wear my mask at Costco looped around my right ear hanging down. I'm technically wearing the mask. Just not correctly

I was in to have a flat tire repaired. They said it would take three hours. (They also said it would have been a good idea to call ahead to make an appointment. I told them to answer their phone because I did call ahead three times.)

So I was walking around the store for a couple of hours before I felt a need to sit down. They have those sofas out on the sales floor, so I decided to sit down for a bit. They had a sign saying not to sit there because of the covid bs. I ignored the sign and sat my arse down.

About that time some soul sucked store manager (possibly the GM) came by to tell me to get up. I did. I told him I was waiting for a tire to be repaired. He didn't give a frick.

Since I had nothing better to do, I started following him around the store.

Soon after I noticed a undercover security man, pushing a empty cart, filming me with his phone. I stared his arse down to let him know he sucked at his job.

I stood right next the soul sucked GM while flipping through a 1st Grade math book in the book section.

About that time I got a call from the tire department telling me my tire was repaired. They did a excellent job.

The end.

I walked into a business and forgot my mask. I wasn't in the door two steps when when I got a barrage of "Please wear a mask".. I stepped back to my car, got the mask and re-entered the business. I walked in and I could smell disinfectant.. They freaked out so mush that they sprayed some shite.. I had to go there otherwise I would have turned around after smelling their fear..

Don’t like their rules? Don’t shop there. Easy as that. I think it is a stupid arse rule to force 3 year olds to wear mask but it is their prerogative.

Costco is the strangest place I have ever been. I went there to exchange a gift. I felt like I was visiting a felon in prison. The whole atmosphere felt like a Stephen King novel. Except this wan't fiction...I think.

Put in on and wear around chin. All it says is to wear a mask. Not how to wear in

This is where my hearing aids come in handy. Pop the earpieces out and don't hear a damned thing they say.

Private business, private decisions.

However I would say if your child can't wear a mask, leave him or her home. It will just save a headache and people complaining.
