Cost increases with $15 minimum wage

I do intermittent fasting 4 days per week, but I like to grab a couple of Hardee’s biscuits on Friday mornings.
My total is usually around $5.75 for 1 BEC biscuit and 1 gravy biscuit.
Based on the number of employees they have buzzing around (usually 7) and their assumed wages ($8/hr), my math has Hardee’s having to charge about $9 for my Friday morning treat. And that’s not factoring in the food product cost increases caused by the pay increases for almost every person the chain of production & delivery.
Even the most modestly-priced restaurant lunch now costs $8-$10. Can you imagine paying $9+ for a Whopper...not a combo...just the burger? It’s coming.
Maybe inflation is how these idiot government officials plan to tackle the national debt.

What percentage of Hardee’s costs do you think are labor?

I can’t wait to pay $5 for a limeade at Sonic

Well along with their labor going up the cost of labor for their vendors' will go up, and their vendors' vendors. So not only will their cost of labor go up but the price they pay on their goods will also go up. Food costs will go up, uniforms, custodial services, printing costs. Everything they buy will have a cost increase.

Inflation will cause the debt to increase.

The three D's of a developing authoritarian dictatorship:
Depress the economy
Disarm the population
Destroy the opposition party
Biden's handlers are working on step one right now. That's what most of the flurry of EOs were about.

I agree with everything you’re saying but will the $1 or value menu be a thing of the past? I can’t go on without my cheesy bean and rice burrito once a week (extra creamy jalapeño sauce)

If it was that thought out I would actually be impressed.

Maybe if we're lucky we’ll be standing in a Hardee’s biscuit or cheesy bean and rice burrito line instead of a bread line by the end of this disgrace

Likely 30%.
