Well, that's one way to get the resale back up where it was.

No sense in owning one without the ICE. A Harley needs to sound like one.

They will put speakers on them that simulate engine noise.

They will continue a downward spiral as long as folks in cars use cellphones.

No way, the hogs will burn that place down!

yep.

I think the obvious subject here is that EV bike does not fit the Harley clientele.

Harley went through this a couple of times previously. What was it - AMF? that downsized engines, power? changed aesthetic of styling.

They were then remade in the early 80s back to their earlier cachet. and they have been hogging since

EV seems to be a similar peril.

Oddly, other motorcycles have gone through the same thing in various ways.

Ducati/Aprilia, BMW, have had identity design transitions.. BMW is interesting with their moves into cruiser. They also have several engine designs - some great. The three cyclinder inline 750 was one of the smoothest rises ever. Cornered like it was on rails.

The Ducati 907 was my cycle porn - I owned one - put the BMWs to shame. BMW boxer (opposed twin) should be preserved as a monument to humanity and used forever. It IS motorcycle no matter the displacement, love BMW boxers.

One of my all time favorites was the Moto Guzzi. Engine was borrowed from a Fiat made italian TRACTOR in the 60s/70s. BEAUTY - a seriously cool motorcycle. would love to have one

NONE concerning EV though it wouldnt surprise me if the EUROs and Japani went that way

EVs are ridiculous as a goal for cars. The earth will be raped by greenies if it goes there, wait and see

Failed policy is all communists know

This, I always wanted one but it’s way too dangerous now with drivers distracted by cell phones.

What's so inescapably insane about this is that motorcycles are already a co2 friendly approach to transportation.

They should be hammering that point.

Electric vehicles are more damaging to the environment that a gas vehicle.

The mining that has to be done for the battery is devastating.

I have a new Polaris Ranger EV 96 volt. But, it has nothing to do with climate change. Just saw in Lowe's they have a $2,000 EV bike with wide mud tires. Might just get one of those too. Everyone else riding gas UTVs/ATVs, they don't hear me coming.

Nope. Until every home is equipped with a fusion reactor of it own, there isn't enough power generation to handle an all-electric world.

And it certainly ain't happening in the next ten years. Schwab and his buddies can lick my unwiped arse.
