That’s silly, and is not going to come close to happening. As I posted before, their chance at blocking him was the second impeachment. Had the Senate convicted that would have ended Trump’s Presidential aspirations. There would have been protests and upheaval, but I think they would have gotten away with it.

This! If they do try something so stupid, this will be a key piece of evidence, along with the court rulings where they had the states place Trump back on the ballot, plus the little fact that no one, not even those they jailed, have been charged or convicted of inciting, or participating in, an insurrection.
