Confidence Regarding Voter Fraud in Alabama

I live in a rural area which is largely Republican. When I go vote, I literally know every poll worker and most voters as well. The poll workers still collect my Drivers License and scan it with an IPad. Why doesn’t the rest of the nation do this?

Why do they scan it with an iPad? My place doesn't do that. THey just check the name with the voter registration roster, then make me sign the sheet.

Mine does the same as yours. Others do different stuff. I sure wish they'd make voting faster tho. An ipad would probably help the lines go faster for where I have to vote. it's a nightmare. Took me HOURS to vote during Presidential race. Took me 30 minutes today.

Mine was scanned in Vestavia. Even us backwards rednecks from Alabama have technology. No excuse for the rest of our country.

Mine's never been scanned in Huntsville....and we're supposed to be so technologically advanced up here...

Historically....elderly lady 1 takes DL and checks roll, hands DL to elderly lady 2 who writes down name in roll, who hands it to elderly laddy/man 3 who tells me sign on line and hands me ballot.

Yeah, I just hand my Id, they write my name on a numbered line after checking the registration roll and then have me sign in a corresponding numbered line. Hand me my ballot. No scanners.

You'll be happy to know that scanning your paper ballot with an iPad means anything.
The scanning of the paper ballots is used only to tabulate the vote. Once the vote is turned in, the scans of the actual ballots are not saved.
The Attorney General of Alabama, Steve Marshall, went to court when a voter group had a lower court order that the voter ballot scans be saved.
Late last night night, the Alabama Supreme Court ordered that election officials would not have to retain the digital copies of the ballots.

BUT, This is the real kicker. AG Montgomery maneuvered it so that the election day scanned images would not be retained, but that all the scans of early voting ballots would be retained.
I wonder why he just wanted the early ballot scans kept?

We do it in Missouri. At least where I vote.
I'm sure that is not the case in many areas of St. Louis proper.
