The problem here is He was asking Trump about why he would characterize migrants (which are no longer being discussed) as an invasion?
Invasion by definition is - an act or instance of invading or entering as an enemy, especially by an army.
Those folks by definition was not an invasion, they never even made half way through Mexico.

totally agree in principle. but, if the president has shown himself to be completely without credibility even he is fair game for the sake of the union. it goes both ways and has to in order the protect the greater good. you do admit that Trump is not credible????? how can the globe trust us? how can the citizens trust us. same thing for ocasio cortez and waters. if they lie , then they are fair game for scrutiny too. if they are stupid, which they are, I want the press to condemn them too.

You just described Trump to a tee.

They aren't good at private property rights.

No. But you just demonstrated left wing projection.

This only works with a press that is willing to serve as the government watchdog. Where was the press scrutiny of Obama when he lied over and over about Americans keeping their insurance policies and saving $2500 a year under Obamacare? Those lies allowed for a government takeover of 17% of the economy, and takeover of one of the peoples’ most basic and personal choices, which was how to take care of themselves. Trump’s lies, for the most part, are harmless hyperbole and salesmanship (ala Tide gets clothes cleaner, or Advil works faster).
Our press is not a watchdog, they are a lapdog to dimocratix ideology.

Good subject.
Here are a few;
Compliance costs
Regulatory capture
Opportunity costs
Cost shifting
Property rights
Here's a concept they DO know and are experts at;
Extortion.

Oh?
To which particular "slander" are you referring?

Sup, Rex. What kind of dog do you have now? I've got a Lab and an Aussie.

Holy shite, this this this 1,000! Why the frick do dumbass liberals think taxing the rich to give entitlements to the poor works. There are no statistics that back this up. However, making Executive pay tied to employee compensation would drive wages up in a heart beat (like it was prior to Reagan).

There is no "free" lunch. Someone else is paying for it.

It’s not slander if it’s true.

I'm still waiting for the OP to identify the particular "slander" to which he's alluding.

Freedom of the press does mean you are allowed legally to say pretty much whatever you want without fear of government retribution.
In practice, what it means is that the POTUS has lots of friends who are outside government who will give you hell anyway if it suits them. But they can't sent you to jail.

I would suggest Trump has given the press unparalleled access. You may not like his answers but he has given them access. And he didn’t prevent Jim from running straight back to CNN and “reporting”.
So please tell me where he has infringed upon the press’s Freedom?
Has he been denying FOIA requests?
Weaponizing he DOJ against members of the press?
