The only law enforcement people I know who are against concealed carry are the ones who make bank teaching that ridiculous class on concealed carry.

Today, they pat them down and if they find a gun- arrest and confiscate. Likely felony and jailed. Another criminal off the street.

Post law change, pat down, find gun, no law broken. No jail

If you are a convicted felon it will still be illegal to carry a weapon concealed or not after the law passes.

It todays CJ system you aren’t serving any time for a gun charge unless you are committing other serious crimes. It’s sad but true.

Why is it "sad but true" to be able to not serve time unless it is a serious crime? After all, isn't it a crime to infringe upon a certain right that specifically states "shall not be infringed"?

I work with law enforcement. Let’s use Mardi Gras as an example.
The estimate was 6% of the crowd in a know hot spot area was probably carrying concealed illegally.
Let’s say they are the felons who don’t follow the laws.
Now another 30% of the crowd who are in to drug activity and other crimes but not convicted felons will now realize they can legally carry concealed.
The streets have now become more dangerous and the public is more at risk along with law enforcement.

I agree that law abiding citizens can now carry legally. Look to your left and right the next time you are in a public area.
Do you really feel safer because they carry a gun now?

It’s usually not the carrying that gets you in trouble.. it’s the car jacking, gas station robbing, and gang banging that gets you in trouble. Normal people carry all day everyday without issue.

Normal people don’t commit crimes, but the left has made crime legal unless it’s politically convenient to enforce something.

Where I'm at, I'm more likely to be a victim of police/government overreach than I am of another Oklahoman.

That's why I have a Shellback plate carrier with level IV plates, an Ops Core ballistic helmet and obstacles and overlapping fields of fire at my place.

When seconds matter police are only a phone call and minutes away. I’d rather take responsibility for my own safety and that of my family and conceal carry. Gang bangers and drug dealers are going to carry no matter what the law says.

I do for I know the criminal element also knows others "might" be armed. Of course I feel much safer always due to the fact I am always armed.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Six of Ohio’s eight largest cities saw less gun crime after the state’s “constitutional carry” law took effect, according to a study published today by the Center for Justice Research, a partnership between the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Bowling Green State University.
