Based on the1860 U.S. Census, about 25% of Southern households owned slaves, with the vast majority being owned by non-Jewish individuals.
It indicates that some Jewish merchants in port cities like Charleston and New Orleans were involved in the slave trade or owned slaves, but their numbers were estimated at less than 2% of the total slaveholding population.
What information do you have that contradicts the 1860 census?

But what tyranny was the last 100 years? I guess you are talking about Communism since the Russian Revolution? I don’t know; that’s just an educated guess.
