I was trained as an MP.
We were trained to use minimum force required. Sometimes that includes extreme force. But force beyond that which is required is excessive.
Many here seems to be viewing this as a military action such as in a war. I see it as police action.
Is it weak to want police to obey the very laws they are sworn to enforce?
To not abuse the citizens.
Clearly this woman is an agitator and being ugly to the police. However from what recall she was simply talking to them, albeit likely loud and ugly.
I don't want our police treating citizens this way.
I saw it first hand in Baton Rouge in the early 90s I think it was at the operation rescue event. Cops were hurting people because they would not comply. I have and always will be opposed to abusive police actions.

So are you ok with cops hurting people not breaking the law in all situations or just when those people oppose you politically?
We agree that they are on the wrong side of this issue. But does that mean that anything that ICE does to accomplish their mission is acceptable to you? Or do you have some limit you would not want to see them cross?

Do you think if they did try to arrest her, it would have went well? I imagine, she resists and is way worse off for resisting than getting pepper sprayed. Lesson taught......Move along.

You may be right.
I just don't want police teaching lessons.
I think some here may agree with me if it was conservatives being on the receiving end of this by cops being directed by a liberal mayor.
