Focus group: College students don't vote absentee because they don't know where to buy stamps

A focus group in Virginia’s Fairfax County found that many college students decline to complete the absentee voting process because they don’t know how to purchase stamps.

Lisa Connors, a spokeswoman for the Fairfax County Office of Public Affairs, told WTOP that for college students, purchasing stamps appears to be “a hump that they can’t get across.”

“Across the board, they were all nodding and had a very spirited conversation about ‘Oh yeah, I know so many people who didn’t send theirs in because they didn’t have a stamp,’ ” Connors said. LINK

Only place I know to buy stamps these days is the damn post office and I avoid that place at all costs.

Ridiculous. This is just a push to allow "online voting" or something similar that can easily be hacked and turn elections to the Dems.

If they can find tickets to whatever shitty band college kids are into these days, they can find stamps.

College kids are notorious for I would but ... If it wasn’t stamps it would be something else. I doubt any prepared their ballot and said crap I don’t know how to mail it oh well. Instead it was more likely they were to lazy to go through the process and needed a convenient excuse.

"Use a pen? Who hand writes anymore? Why can't I just text this?"

That said, why can't I download an app and vote? Seems pretty silly that we can't when I can send anyone, anywhere in the world, thousands of dollars in a fraction of a second using an app on my phone.

And this is one of MANY reasons there should be a test given BEFORE someone votes...

If someone can't figure out how to do this, than they have no business voting in the first place.

Let's hope these people never have to do anything more than breathe.
