Hope she’s at peace now and her family is handling it well.

Gonna be weird to be in class a mere 100 yards from where she will be buried.

Am here, the whole town turned out almost.

Not a fan of the bushes but I paid my respects.

And props to Melania for this (per The Hill).
quote:

First lady Melania Trump brought two White House staff members who were close to the Bush family as her guests to former first lady Barbara Bush’s funeral on Saturday in Houston.

Trump was accompanied by former White House head maitre d' George Hainey and current White House usher Buddy Carter, the first lady’s office said.

“She knew they were very close to the Bush family and wanted them to be able to pay their respects,” spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said.

I really think the Bush's are good people, always have, always will. A lot of that is due to this woman, glad to see this level of respect being shown to her

Are you allowed to walk up to the family plot? Or is it a completely private area?

You can walk up to the plot.

There’s a trail that leads from the Bush School / Library pond area that goes to a small wooded clearing. The plot is in the middle of that clearing.

Accessible to the public, but is monitored by security cameras.

I've seen several times today that Barbara will be laid to rest next to Robin at the Bush library. Just curious, did they move Robin's remains to College Station when they built the library? They lived in Midland when she died in 1953.

Anyone know if the reason for the Carters' absence is that they're not well enough to travel anymore?

Texas A&M Singing Cadets requested at Barbara Bush's burial

We performed at a graduation that was his first major foreign policy speech as president. The guys were also guests at the Kennebunkport home last year.

Proud to be a Former myself.
