However, they will be protected and applauded for going after the GOP and I would imagine that it is actually encouraged... The people that cut their paychecks will determine who they go after...

So tge Gop members have no power. Gotcha.

Does the press lean more left or more right? Where do the owners and powerbrokers within the press organizations lie on the political scale?

There are different types of power but when it comes to the press, the left definitely holds sway over their influence...

They did not want to damage their career and reporting it would have gotten them fired or pushed to the side... So, they traded "the right thing" for advancement...

It is voluntary Progressive solidarity, they weren't coerced they voluntarily abandoned ethics and professionalism for Progressive ideology.

Horseshat. They didn't cover it up. It was used as leverage. At least be honest, Cokie!

Appearing on ABC’s This Week, National Public Radio’s Cokie Roberts admitted that “for years” the female press corps has covered up sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill. While speaking about John Conyers and Al Franken, two Democrats facing numerous sexual misconduct allegations, Roberts let this bomb matter-of-factly drop on the left-wing Sunday show, “I mean, we all talked about for years: ‘Don’t get in the elevator with him,’ you know, and the whole every-female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him.”

I wonder if she's remotely introspective enough to admit to herself that the reason they never reported this is ENTIRELY a matter of the party they belonged to?

Women have just decided to throw more penalty flags nowadays rather than just allow offenses to slide.

Same reason Fox News covered up Roger Ailes, Bill O'Reilly, and Eric Bolling.

This constant dick measuring over sexual assault or sexual harassment is pathetic. This kind of behavior has no relevance to politics. It's a human failing not applicable to one party or the other.

This is my beef.

If you wait 20 years to report something, it must not have been that bad.
