That's some pretty shitty journalism.

Holy shite it's amazing how far CNN has fallen.
They have become so irrelevant in such a short period of time.

n any case, just meeting with the family would be fine. No need to go into the room with someone who would be so heavily sedated, if not altogether unconscious.
Evidently Acosta disagrees with you there or this whole thread would be nonexistent.

Acosta cited a source that he never spoke with. you don't see the problem?
the fact that this is 100% wrong begs the question of who the hell the reporter who emailed this to the pool spoke with

The big deal is he fabricated a quote, attributed it to a fictional source and then tried to blame it on someone else.

you can do that now but it's $20 a month. you get ALL of the espn channels though with the watchESPN app.
I've got the WatchESPN app but in order to watch I had log in from a provider? I use DIRECTVnow but I'm still paying for CNN. Who are you paying $20 a month to?
The app is free

While I'm sure this was motivated by his politics, the real issue is that Acosta broke several journalism rules in this situation. And it's not the first time.
He's a shitty journalist and no one should be defending him.
There is nothing wrong with using the pool report and referencing it as your source. Had he done that, this would be a non-issue.
But he tried to make it seem as though his own private sources gave him the info.
The pool report was wrong and it blew up in his face.
