Exhibit B: Guy agrees to meet girl (not in a relationship with her) at a farmer's market, waits 45 minutes because she's late, spends $80 buying her stuff because she didn't bring any money, hover-hand side hugs her in the parking lot before she leaves. SIMP
The reason simp caught on so quickly is because it makes no difference if the guy is genuinely being friendly or just trying to get laid - "simp" posits that neither justifies that behavior.

Lol a simp is just a desperate dude behind a computer screen thinking girls on like only fans and twitch will date them for being nice and giving them donations. Its actually pretty pathetic.
I think we had a thread about this one dude that gave some twitch girl a shite load of money then went off the rails when he found out she had a bf. He legit thought he had a chance and lost it because he had simped for her so hard.

Exactly. I’ve taught my son to be polite, and respect women, but at the same time not be submissive & have that stupid fricking mentality that his girlfriend or any girl is his “Queen”. Holy frick, that dumb shite has to stop. I also have 3 daughters, and have talked with them as they get older and give them same speech but from the other perspective. You should be treated right, with respect, but it works both ways, and you have to reciprocate. But most importantly, you’re not a goddamn Queen, get rid of that stupid toxic mentality.

After reading the gobble-kook “highlighted” here, I really have no better understanding of the term SIMP. With that said, anyone parent who turns to modern psychotherapy for guidance on raising children is going to — at the very minimum — end up with a maladjusted child. The same applies to any parent who turns to CNN for guidance on child-rearing.
