Honestly at worst Chauvin should have served 10 years for 2nd degree manslaughter since I think that is very possible and that it was a combination of the fentanyl and carbon monoxide that did him in, but I think the defense established reasonable doubt. The murder convictions though are fricking insane.

Good gosh even if one believes Chauvin is guilty, one has to admit there are mitigating circumstances that dont dictate a maximum sentence.

22.5 years is WAY too much for Chauvin, and I'm one who thought he deserved SOME prison time.

The judge have him 7.5 years less than the State suggested, so he did get off pretty light all things considered.
