How pathetic can you get? In response to CNN claiming there were over 3000 deaths in Peurto Rico, Donald Trump says

quote:

3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000...

quote:

.....This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list. Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!

You'd think they would avoid telling these outright lies that can be checked. Just goes to show you can get away with anything if you have blind idiots for followers. Leave it to the Democrats to sink to a new low!

Just because I like most of what Trump has done it doesn't mean I'm not going to get on him when he goes retard like this. Anyone who has seen video of Puerto Rico after Maria knows there is no way in hell only 6 to 18 people died in that storm. He is never going to win that argument. He could win an argument claiming that the fault of the deaths lie more in the hands of state and local officials than it does federal officials but he has no chance of winning an argument that that few people died. Nor should he or anyone else try to use specific numbers on the death count because the truth is no one has any idea how many people actually died. Harvard did a study on this and the best they could do was narrow the number down to somewhere between 900 and 8,000.

I despise the MSM, but in this case I think they're more right than Trump. The study in question seems legit.

The point is, the 3k number is the number that died months later, not in the storm or directly because of the storm...

And the press did make it about him..."ermaghad 3k dead cause trump sucks"...

While the PR government clearly didn't organize local distribution

The death toll a month ago was like 30 people now all of a sudden it's 3000? That doesn't raise an eyebrow for you?

But but a data analytics guy played with numbers and came up with 2,975 bodies that can’t be counted. It’s global warming math

Why can't they just say, "over 9,000" and call it a day?
