They've been running these headlines all day, and it's probably one of the more intellectually dishonest things they've done recently. Comparing the death rate of a viral outbreak to...a terrorist attack?

NOTHING the Federal government could have done would have prevented this virus from killing thousands of people. NOTHING.
It's all over the world. It was going to reach here. Either through China or through Italy or Spain.
It was going to get here and going to spread.
There are definitely lessons to be learned going forward to help a future situation like this, but the idea that the Federal Government or ANY Government could stop a virus is f'ing political propaganda at the worst.

The main stream media are relentless. They will not give up the attempt at getting their power back. That is why I think the jury is still out on the severity of the virus. Yes its bad enough, but are they the media as we know them inflating the figures? What have we done about the common flu every year since figures show a great many deaths from it? No closures of any kind. No warnings except get your flu shot. And even then there are thousands of deaths. And why haven't we seen any high profile democrats testing positive for thwe virus. All I can say is if we don't want Pelosi to be the next president the security for the Oresiden and vise president better be perfect.

Meh... this is a pandemic caused by a novel virus. Its unfortunate but we should feel blessed the numbers arent much higher than they are.
We are at the mercy of mother nature to some degree and the unique capabilities of this virus.
Certainly lessons learned but doing as well as can be expected and as well as previous administrations dealing with similar events.

I think we only need to look at the effects of the delayed responses by leftist governments in Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden -- all crippled with a "progressive" identity politics bias, terrified of the perception of Racism -- to know what would have happened in this country if the Democrats ran the show.
It's really an incredibly stupid reality that these people would prefer to gain political leverage during a pandemic than being a part of the bigger solution -- disseminating information that in a way that helps us recover as quickly as possible.
Ultimately -- this is why Trump wins again in November. There just isn't a sane counter-argument to his policies.

Really? Comparing an ongoing viral outbreak to a terrorist attack? From an earlier thread, I guess filming the 9/11 attack was a HIPAA violation because obviously some patients were videoed?
