If it were to happen (I don’t think it ever will), what would you pick as a replacement?
Gators are already taken...
Maybe you could become “The destructive fighting LSU nutrias”.

Wow.I read the article.
More now than ever(imho),the truth is stranger than fiction.
This crap would have made some scary fiction reading in the not so distant past.

Also how is the tiger linked to the confederacy?
(Real question, I can’t think anyway it could be...)

In 1896, during the Confederate nostalgic "Lost Cause" movement when many of the recently dismantled statues were erected, the LSU football team was nicknamed the Tigers after Louisiana’s rebel fighters “who seemed to have the faculty of getting into the hardest part of the fighting and staying there,” wrote the first coach, Charles E. Coates.
That's a copy/paste from the clown's article.

Why in the freaking hell would anyone still have a subscription to the (non)advocate? Serious question.

"Come to terms with." Meaning what? No one ever associated it with the Confederacy that I'm aware of. And Louisiana militia units were nicknamed "tigers" before the civil war

I doubt college athletics relies on corporate sponsors to that extent. Surely someone here knows better than me.
I’ve done business with LSU sports properties. They make a metric shite ton of money off advertisers. They are a complete separate entity from LSU the school.

I know you guys would have a big issue with it, but LSUs admin is silly with SJWs and progs, just like every other school.
In reality, with a concerted push they’d likely cave.

Don’t tell them that. They will have Hispanics protesting too.

Correct. Main reason I didn’t go back when offered a great job there a year ago.

Won't happen. Even the B.O.S. aren't that stupid.

Legit question: how many students and faculty actually knew who Semmes was?
The founder of Detroit, BLAH BLAH de Caddilac, lived about four blocks the other way.
If you guys get forced to suck such a dick in dropping tigers, I sort of like "Pudding Tasters" for a name. or "5.56"
