This wasn't a very good study L.A. It was based on data from an internet survey, the N is small, and then they extrapolated that data to the overall population. I doubt it would pass peer review.

Well, that's one way to look at it.

The other way to look at it is, I like it.

You can watch the unedited video yourself hombre:

Why do you say it's the unedited version of the Obama interview? How do you know isn't edited?

It was bad in that it is possibly underestimating the actual number of illegals who voted. The Libs are pointing to this "data" as "proof" that illegals voting didn't sway the election/popular vote in a significant way.

Did you watch the video?

Do you think the question or the answer was edited?

Don't be silly.

I am not being silly. Its a routine meme here that polling is wrong, and this would be very difficult polling to do. First off, you would have to identify non citizens, and poll them, then figure out how whether they voted and who they voted for. This is pretty complicated, especially as he starts with a relatively high assumption of 20M voters.

Let's say his study is off by 5%. 95% of 834,381 votes cast by illegals is still a big problem, no?

Sure, his study could be right, but you might be latching onto this study due to confirmation bias.

For instance, do you believe this study that Right wing and racist beliefs are linked to low IQ? LINK

I would agree if 800k votes of noncitizens were cast and counted, then this is a problem. But this study may be crap. Or maybe your story link is crap, cause the study's author said he is being misrepresented.

I know the answer was edited.

Why do you think FOX was the only network to report the story?

I'm basing it on the fact that with my own eyes I saw unregistered voters voting in the election this year.

If I knew how to read I would read it and give you my opinion.

Sure, unregistered people vote, the question is were their votes counted?

Again, the author said he is being misquoted.

NORFOLK, Va. - Jesse Richman, an associate professor of Political Science at Old Dominion University, has a message for President Donald Trump and his administration. "I wish he'd stop citing my research, frankly," he said. This comes following the president's latest claims that non-citizens voting at the polls could have influenced the outcome of November's popular vote when nearly 3 million more people cast a ballot for Hillary Clinton. During his Tuesday press briefing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer alluded to the possibility when talking with reporters about voter fraud. "I think there's been studies. There's one that came out of Pew in 2008 that shows 14 percent of people voting were non-citizens," Spicer said. Richman tells News 3 that Spicer was not only confusing another study with his own from 2014, but also exaggerating the numbers.

No but it validates the need for an investigation and eventual correction. I can see why Dems don't want an investigation.

The study focuses on one single type of voter fraud: Votes cast by non-citizens. The study did not consider other types of fraud, such as the “dead” voting or multiple votes from the same person.

It also only counted on HRC getting 80% of the vote.

Just to clarify...do you think in the video I linked that Obamas edited answer suggests he was implying illegals could vote?

That isn't a study, it was an internet survey...and Mr. Richman has continually stated that it shouldn't be cited.

Because in another thread someone posted the transcript. In it, the questioner said 'undocumented citizens' are afraid of voting

Obama said, "If you vote, you are a citizen"

"If you have undocumented family here, it's even more important to vote"

Sorry, but that's all out endorsing it

From WikiLeaks Podesta Email:

quote:

John Podesta: I think Teddy’s idea scratches the itch, is pretty safe and uncomplicated. On the picture ID, the one thing I have thought of in that space is that if you show up on Election Day with a drivers license with a picture, attest that you are a citizen, you have a right to vote in Federal elections.

quote:

Based on national polling by a consortium of universities

Universities overwhelmingly have liberal faculty, so I'm skeptical that all the universities involved would accurately contribute information that supports Donald Trump's agenda.

Therefore 800,000 illegal votes might be an underestimate. Millions is probably a stretch. Any amount of illegal voting is too much...and thanks to leaks we know that Democrats were banking on it.

That's not all that he said. Fox edited out part of his response.

Here is the entire interview as reported by Breitbart. Obama said that legal immigrants should vote to give undocumented relatives a voice.

LINK

And here is a written transcript of the ENTIRE INTERVIEW showing the parts what Fox news cut out of the interview. (it's under the video at the top of the page with repeats the lie about what Obama actully said).
