This is precisely why the Electoral College was created. One candidate can't win by simply running up the score in one area of the country and/or election fraud in isolated areas can't determine the winner.

The thing to worry about for 2020 will be what the Democrats will do to get the AA vote back up to Obama levels.

1,150,000 dumbasses do not concern me at all. This, and the outrage over the popular vote, confirms that the left has even more stupid people than I thought.

Oh well.

Trump did manage to pass Romney's numbers, though.

They shouldn't even be reporting popular vote. It's not how we elect our President so it's irrelevant.

Yep.

In fact, the growing margin is an argument FOR the EC.

If you look at an EC map and then look at the popular vote, you should literally say, "oh. THAT'S why"

#LoserDonald

Donald has a unique ability to lose in multiple ways even when he's putting on a good show ostensibly.

I've heard some people speculate that Donald could be The Biggest Loser because he won the election. E.g., To Understand Election 2016 You Have to See 2020.

The link is a podcast called McAlvany Weekly Commentary that I found through Richard Spencer's Twitter account (which is now suspended). Spencer posted it as a kind of silver lining when it looked to most people like Donald was going to lose the election. David McAlvany's opinion was that if Donald won the election, it would actually be a victory for the Establishment.

The reasoning was that the winner of the election will be the one holding the bag because we won't be able to continue to postpone a "severe economic correction" and the Federal Reserve System will have the capability to frick Donald up bigly. Then the narrative gets framed -- Loser Donald.

take out mexifornia and in the remaining 49 states

Trump won the popular by over 2.5million.....

Think about that. in 95% of the states, it is not even close. I think this is a far greater representation of the country then overall popular vote-- where one state is truly anti-american.....

CALEXIT .. I support it. IN FACT -- I would wager that both libs and conservatives support this.......

make it happen!

please, or should I say, por favor pendejos!

To add on.

To all of you screaming about electoral college and popular votes.

has anyone seen the overlay map of the voting districts versus crime rates?

Undeniable correlation. Like - it is the exact same map......

The biggest crime areas were the deepest blue. It is uncanny.

This is inaccurate.

The electoral college doesn't have anything to do with rural vs urban.

The Electoral College was created so the President and VP would be selected by an elite group of wise and experienced leaders. It had nothing to do with favoring small states over large, more populous states. The voters were supposed to have ZERO to do with who was selected to the EC. State assemblies/legislatures were to choose their wisest men to deliberate as to who should hold the highest executive offices. It operated that way for a couple of decades though political parties became a factor quickly. Political partisanship changed it in the late 1790s and rising democracy changed it yet again in the 1820s and 1830s.

You can make a strong argument that what the Founders intended for the EC has not happened in the EC since George Washington was POTUS.

Yes. This is the first time I've really understood why we have the electoral college. If we didn't, candidates would pander to only New York and California. Normal everyday Americans would be completely ignored. It's pretty ironic too that New York and California pretty much hate our Constitution- they basically hate all the America was and is supposed to be. They want us to be more like Europe - well we can all see that immigration and big government isn't working out too well for them over there.

Lastly, They won't be counting absentee ballots
I know it won't make a difference because trump already won but I think the majority of the absentee votes are mostly for trump. Most absentee voters are conservative - you know the more responsible type that takes care of business ahead of time. The complete opposite of these idiot rioters that didn't even freaking vote!!!!!!!
