Here is the problem with populist candidates and politics. While there is nothing that can legally be done because no laws were broken Trump promised some of you that Clinton was crooked and would be punished if he were elected. He might have actually been convinced of this at the time just like he is still not fully convinced Obama is an American and the Central Park 5 aren’t guilty. Many of you are going to start casting about for the next swamp drainer in a few years when reality sets in and Trump is unable to root out the deep state (can’t eliminate Santa Claus either.....neither is real). As more and more of us grow disgruntled over shite that isnt a real issue (e-mail gate, pizza gate, Benghazi gate, 9/11 was an inside gate) opportunistic hucksters will fuel that angst for profit and power. They will have to get even more willing to bend the law....so initially it’s a joke that the press is the enemy of the people....then the next carnival barker comes along and tells you that “the last one was part of the problem....after all, they knew the press was the enemy of the people and didn’t do anything about it....but I will”. So they do something extra-judicial, because there hasn’t been a law broken, to satisfy their supporters. Meanwhile the previous swamp drainers have managed to destabilize the institutions that were meant to reign in such power...so the courts are now stacked with populist swamp drainers as is congress and they will say and do anything to stay in power....so they go along. A few will balk but they’ll be marginalized and eliminated, physically so if necessary.

Meanwhile the people, who a populist must feed on, find their own lot in life about the same as it was....maybe even worse...so they begin to turn on the current crop and start seeking the next sure thing...and as sure as the sun rises someone will emerge to stoke their fear and ignorance.....


Y’all have almost universally done a 180 on W. It happened befor he left office. Now most of you feel he is almost as bad as Obama.....yet he was a saint to many of you after 9/11. Trump is your next villain. All he is going to be able to manage is furthering the demise of the institutions that keep us neutral. Your lot in life is going to be same, marginally better or marginally worse....and you are going to look outward for the blame. You are not alone in this...the left does it also. Reality is that life is tough, folks do stupid shite and we are fortunate to live in a nation where these realities are mitigated because of opportunities that are a direct result of institutions that attempt to level the playing field. Populists feed on the need to blame others for our own faults.

Most of you feel compelled to pay more taxes than you’d like to. Many of you have said something along the line of “ they’ll take your shite at the point of a gun”. You are a victim now....you have found your other to blame. The reality is that you don’t have to pay taxes. You could choose to earn just enough to provide you and yours a living and have almost no tax burden.....and the rest of us will, through greed and avarice, gladly pick up your market share and pay for the shite that allows you to make that decision. It’s you who sets the alarm clock, not anyone else.

I think we passed a point of no return. We are all victims of something now...something other than the simple reality of life....and it can’t be our fault...and we are succeptible to any huckster who comes along singing our tune.

I agree. Why the frick did Trump appoint Christopher Wray? Never mind Jeff Sessions who is officially the worst AG in history. I thought Wray would want to clean up the FBI and hold people accountable, not hide documents, obstruct Congress, and lie to the public about what really happened
