re: Climate ‘Experts’ Are 0-54 with Their Doomsday Predictions

Seems to be a lot of climate experts on this board. What's the consensus here for Europe clearly seeing rises in temperature?
I'm not a climate expert. I see that a lot of them who have studied this stuff way more than I have are saying we should be taking more action to stem greenhouse gas emissions. On the other side, I see people who have a direct financial interest in emitting more greenhouse gases saying these people are wrong and to not listen to them.
I don't think it takes a genius to figure out which side has more reason to lie and spread misinformation.

You're conveniently forgetting the fact that one side loses a lot of money also when going against the narrative.
You can't get a paper published or a grant, arguing against climate change.

It goes like this: Sometimes a region gets hotter for a few years and sometimes it gets cooler. Sometimes we get more hurricanes on the gulf coast and sometimes we go for years without one. One thing is certain. The predictions are always wrong.

Do you think this amount of money is at all comparable to the amount of money at stake for a company like ExxonMobil? There's proof that Exxon knew fossil fuels were linked to the Earth warming decades ago. But they covered it up and paid for misinformation because it wasn't in their financial interest to let that be known.
I'm from Oklahoma, I know what the O&G industry is like. They'll try to convince you the sky is green if it keeps their profits high. Which is completely natural because they're businesses that need to profit or die. I just don't trust a word they say and don't think the climate science community is anywhere near as compromised as them.

The climate science community has literally been caught fabricating data dozens of times. They have changed recorded temperatures to fit their narrative plenty. And when they don't have data, they have been caught just making it up.
They also use bad data collection methods like using the temperature in the concrete jungle of a city as the temperature for the entire region. They place sensors in environments that will record higher temperatures in that specific location but are not indicative of the area as a whole.

Getting hotter. It's simple measurements. You can argue the reason why, but there is no way to argue that it's happening.

Europe's temperature stations have been subject to a combination of urban sprawl and neglect for a long time.

And yet they continue to get press coverage.
Much of the media believes it AND fear pr0n sells.

Unfortunately all this absurdity coupled with a media bought off by foreign influences has hurt America and its citizens. Its affected company boards of directors and shaped decisions that have caused unnecessary costs and hardships. The effects have led to the shutdown of America’s largest natural resource, coal. And it’s led to the forced shutdowns on hundreds of coal burning power plants and destroyed the lives of workers and their families in the mining industries and power generation industries.
It’s led to the strain and destabilization of the nation’s power grid and cost tax payers billions of dollars for government subsidies of new so called “green power” that is not dependable and not clean. The effects of this charade will continue to worsen as energy hungry data centers and other industrial power consumers continue to need more and more electric power.

Temperature measurements? Pick your source. Buy a thermometer and track yourself.

I had completely forgotten about that terrible acid rain. That was supposed to eat the paint off of cars if I remember correctly. They made a huge deal out of it back then.
