In Tuscaloosa it was 95° at kickoff which was at 11:30. They'd top out at 99° with 108° heat index. All for a game that was over in the first quarter. No telling what temp on the field was. I don't care what you call it, that shite is for the birds.

Oh for the days of my youth when early September football games in Texas were always played under a very pleasant 60 or 70 degrees.

I lived in Victoria, Texas, 24 years ago. Can confirm the late summer temps touched high 90s to 100 even back then in late August and early September.
