CLARITY OF PURPOSE: A new idea for TD in the era of stupid shitposting

Out of every outlet on the internet TD somehow offers a better, more legitimate outlet that people are using to discuss this shitshow that we are experiencing. What's missing?: A legitimate effort by some posters to add clarity to their perspective on shite that they repost here.
Here's a hot take from someone that sees an AIDS-filled world full of mis-and-disinformation: Please just be clear in your posts. If you repost some dogshit from AOC, just add 4 words that let us know your perspective in reposting it. I should not be expected to do due-diligence on your political leanings. Just say a few words that explain your perspective.
Don't be a lazy a-hole.
Cheers.
UPDATE: 11 downvotes for a completely logical request. What a bunch of millennial twats. What about this was controversial except that someone expected the most simple thing of you. Lame.

That's the perfect TD response (cheers) but I'm not asking for much here. Just add some context to a post... If you find value in TD then this is an easy thing to do without freaking out. I mean, what does it take to clarify your intent? 4-5 words? Just do it.

I am kind of shocked that this post is getting downvoted. Is clarity/purpose a bad thing now? Maybe this board is already gone too.

Perhaps they want to get a real feel of opinions on the matter and comment later in the thread.

You should spend more time here or I less. Not sure which.

Uh, ok. Maybe you should have enough intestinal fortitude to have your opinion before waiting to see what other people think? This might be the worst take ever. Thanks for the terrible take on a really simple *problem*.

I don’t mind when people repost stuff without commentary and let the material speak for itself.
There are pros and cons.
Added commentary would certainly help you know the reason that poster found the material posted to be significant and worthy of discussion.
However, letting the Material speak for itself allows me to form my own opinion without influence from the OP.

I'm just asking for people to be clear in what they are saying. I'm sure in your world that's super controversial lol. Stop being a nancy.

That is how Toomers got closed down. Poster just posted wapo or nyt wo any commentary . Pointed out copyright violation and they shut down.

It seems you're the only poster with a problem.
There is also a help board.

You could just ask for clarification if you're confused, but that may be asking too much of you since you've already graced us with your presence.

I am willing to hear thoughts but I don't see how there is ANY upside to being vague on what you post. What value does being vague add to any conversation?

Dude, you do not want to be tellng me what to do. I once kicked the arse of an 8 year old karate student who was close to being the best student in his class, which was the Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:00 - 4:30 PM group. He was mad-dogging me for about 10 minutues before the rumble. I admit to sucker punching him when he wasn't looking, but he had tiny little fists of fury, so I needed an advantage. Let's just say that when my 300+ pounds landed on his bony little arse, the contest was over.

It really depends on the topic and the particular reposted material.
If I link to an opinion piece, doesn’t that pretty well speak for itself?
If I link to some esoteric data, that would need some explanation.

No. There are many posters that have a problem with what is a very new thing on TD. Jesus, there were many people calling out Strannix just 2-3 days ago for exactly this infraction. JUST SAY WHAT YOU MEAN.

You've been on TD for 8 years and less than 1000 posts. frick you and your arrogance that we should cater to you who is too lazy to spend time posting and learn who the players are.
You're probably one of those guys that went through the whole season and didn't know the names of the players on LSU's football team, too.

Maybe. But what if you post a Howard Zinn book cover with absolutely zero context? Should I be required to loom at your post history to see if you are a piece of trash or would it be more effective to add context when you make the post?
