Clancy Trial Guilty or Not

Lindsay Clancy strangled her 3 kids to death leaving them strewn on the basement floor of her home followed by an attempted suicide. Her defense . . a psychotic "event", ie., a voice commanded her to do so. A verdict most likely will be forthcoming later today.

Not guilty by a reason of insanity, but to be institutionalized until they're sure that her postpartum depression and her medications are both worked out... I don't believe this woman was a cold blood killer.

Guilty. I don't care if she shopped enough doctors to be on 35 medications. She as a nurse would know better to not take the first 2 medications together...Much less the others. Her bipolar would have probably triggered before and not caused by PPD or vice versa.
An expert testified PPD psychosis triggers from hormone imbalances 2 to three weeks after birth.
The mom sleuth Karen's think her husband did it, and she confessed.
Anyone's guess of any of it is speculation, but giving her a pass is far fetched.

I watched a perfectly sane family member go absolutely nuts after her child was born to the point where she called her mother and said, if you don't get over here and get this baby right now, I am gonna kill it and throw it straight through my bedroom window. She had massive psychosis from postpartum depression and the mind chemical altering meds they gave her as treatment made it WORSE. Yes, she needs to be held responsible for the state she was in on the day that she dove out of a window head first and killed her three kids, but you'll never have me, believe that she was a perfectly sane mother before this whole thing started on the third kid, and one day she just decided that she wanted to have a fun filled day strangling three beautiful healthy kids. Read my post history. I'm a conservative, I believe in strict laws and even stricter punishment, but I'm in the medical field, and I know better than to think that this could not have possibly been postpartum induced psychosis. The woman was truly mentally ill and got the wrong help from doctors, and none at all from her family.

2nd best melt I have seen this week and the single greatest melt I have ever seen on the PT.
For the future, if I were you, I would stop with the anecdotes and familiarize yourself with the case.

Women have all kinds of swings in hormones. Lack of sleep is BAD. Even in full psychosis your family member called for help.
