With the holidays quickly approaching, parents, media figures and the entertainment industry are criticizing many of the traditions behind Christmas.

Even Santa himself has come under fire. Some Gen Z parents aren’t allowing their children to believe he is real, as evidenced by the hashtag #santaisntreal which has received nearly 19 million views on TikTok. Many parents cite concerns that once their children find out Santa’s magic is a myth, they’ll be "traumatized."

quote:

Mother Sierra McKenzie went viral for a video she posted to TikTok stating that she wouldn’t be "lying to them [her kids] about Santa," nor would she be taking them for pictures with Santa or including any presents under the tree from St. Nick.

"Telling kids that Santa is real is a lie, and I don’t believe in building my kids up on a lie," McKenzie told the New York Post. "Your kids can still enjoy the magic of Christmas without believing in Santa."

Liberals, destroying childhood one woke family at a time.

They always talked about conservatives being the squares.

These people ruin all of the fun.

Were these parents traumatized when they found out?

Like zombie termites. They mindlessly eat away at the fabric of society.

They destroy traditions and replace it with nothing, or worse than nothing, with Drag Queen Story Hour, and the like.

It’s an infection of the mind, or as Gad Saad calls it, a mental parasite.

There is an amazon commercial showing parents hiding gifts and Santa isn't real.

There is no greater joy next to holding your baby for the first time. Then watching Christmas excitement & magic through a childs eyes.

I'm actually ok with destroying the materialistic and tree worshiping part of the current American Christmas.

Yet somehow, almost magically, since the advent of Santa hundreds of millions, maybe billions of adults have believed in him only to learn of the lie and turn out just fine.

Are you anti gift giving? Gift giving is nice. You can control the over-materialist attitudes without eliminating gifts.

I’ve lived in Louisiana all of my life, so maybe this happens elsewhere, but I have never heard of tree worshipping at Christmas. Is this a Druid thing? Or maybe Kwanza?

Nailed it, Cajunelle! The world needs magic in it. Society keeps pushing kids to grow up faster and faster. The world is a bad place. They’ll have plenty of time to figure that out. Let them experience the magic.

Was American society more sound or less sound in 1800?

Did children believe in the Santa Claus character at the time ... or not?

Liberals think Rudolph should have had nose affirming surgery so he could fit in with the rest of the reindeer.
