I have a small plantation that I've been trying to get thinned but can't find anyone that will fool with it.

You could grow enough trees on his forehead to satisfy our lumber needs for decades.

There are THOUSANDS of landowners that would give their 100 + acres of trees for free, just to have the land cleared.
Just give them a break on the property tax and replant some quality trees

What a dumbass! We have more than enough trees. We need more mills. But what pray tell would encourage us to open more mills here rather than abroad?

Is Chris a Harvard graduate?
He is about as intelligent as Kamala, Crockett, and Buttigieg.

Many thanks for the explanations.

I know there's been some efforts for a while to reforest with longleaf pines in place of loblolly pines. How much better wood is longleaf vs lollopy?

Above my pay grade, vato. I’m a Great Lakes guy, and markets are a VERY regional thing.

Even within my own region, I’m kinda useless on that stuff. Really have to be in the middle of that to understand it. We just sell the equipment and wonder how the hell they pay for it.

We have about 50 years worth of supply in MS alone that could be harvested.

When I was at Ole Miss, I had a roommate from Boston who liked to troll folks when he went back home. One of his mom's friends asked him if there were any trees in Mississippi.

He said "No. It's all cotton from Memphis to the Gulf of Mexico."

"some people say our wood will be the best wood in all the world, better than anyone imagined"..... and then all the libs go crazy when he says this stuff. Drives them crazy.

Canada has large areas of hardwood where people don't live and many won't because of the climate. That is their advantage.

Are you sure?

Not being a smart arse response but when I was a kid there was a business man out where I live that had several large acreage lots of land. He'd sale the trees, companies would come out clear cut them and clear the land. When school was out he would pay us kids to plant trees. That's one way to solve the problem if only you can get the majority of parents now to make their kids get off their arse, quit playing video games and buy them a basic non smartphone for use during the summer. It'd help RFKs department too, getting some of these fat arse kids, let's call him Diabeto, out of the fricking house

A month ago, I drove from DFW to Tampa.

Going down I-20, US49, US98, and I-10, I saw a lot of what I believe are called "trees". I remember hearing once that wood comes from trees (though maybe that was Chris Matthews lying to me, as the MSM does).

Sounds like a lot of good paying jobs about to be created as we ramp up wood production in the US. Would be nice if this made IP reconsider shutting down their Campti, La plant. That’s going to absolutely crush Red River Parish. It’s already poor as hell.

Chris is perhaps one of the biggest idiots on TV and has been for 40 years. Take anything he says with a grain of salt. He is a hopeless democrat beyond redemption.
