Chinese government owned company to invest $1.25 billion in Louisiana Plant--

An interesting dilemma.
Louisiana plans to subsidize dangerous, Communist owned chemical plant
No question we exported a LOT of pollution to China. Now it seems they want to send it back.
I feel comfortable with the Louisiana DEQs pollution evaluation and expect the dangers the author eludes too are not as risky as he wants readers to believe.
BUT here we have the Chinese the PT says is trying to steal our jobs and ruin our manufacturing ability trying to build a plant here and JBE pushing to subsidize them.
What do you think??
The investment is as much or more the plant Nucor plans to build in Kentucky. (Should Trump make Nucor invest more of their outsized profits from the tariff price increases than a communist company is willing to invest in the USA??)
It is more than the film makers will spend in "economic activity" over several years in Louisiana.
It will after the ITEP expires add millions in property tax revenues to St. James Parish.
The Chinese are whining about the tariffs on the goods they will use to build the plant.
Do you hate it or like it?? Louisiana manufacturing jobs financed by a "communist" owned company.

Hymel’s In “Covent” closed due to poor management decision making. Not evil industry. In fact evil industry kept it in business for years. This is not important but that part of the article was pathetic.
Wanhua plant has been in the planning stages for 4-5 years.

I don't like it because it seems like people only want to invest in plants in Louisiana, but I guess if you have nothing more to offer......

You should stick to sucking Chinese crank for lead laced shite imports.

The plant will spew some 300 tons of toxic air emissions a year, including 1,700 pounds a year of phosgene — a gas used in chemical warfare. Another 10 million pounds per year of toxic liquid waste will be produced as well.
quote:Oh well, tough shite. Tariffs stay.
President Trump’s tariffs on China may halt the Wanhua facility before ground is even broken. The company argues that the 25% tariffs levied on a series of Chinese goods will make the plant’s construction uneconomic. (The facility will largely use parts made in China and simply be assembled in Louisiana.)

That was probably the most uninformative article I've ever seen

It is rather weak on details.

That's an extremely generous description. In fact, it had zero details besides the general location of the potential site.

Because it’s fear mongering propaganda
