Every decent analysis of that deal qualifies with an “at least” before it. There’s no way to know and you regurgitating it without understanding how they do this is proof that Chinese propaganda works.
You have set yourself up to disbelieve anything that doesnt confirm your ideals.
Their cars have been taken apart and studies by both Japanese and American engineers.
They all seem to think some models are as good or better than ours.

Can you explain what FP8 is and where Deepseek got those chipsets from for $6 Million?
That's a very basic question.
No twitter link is going to avoid that basic problem.
They architected for and pretrained on something that is not available to anyone.
Can you answer that?

Where's the full context? US companies have built their systems from scratch. Do you really expect us to believe China created an AI system from the ground up to rival chatgpt for only 6 million? It's always more expensive for the trailblazers. The guys who come in at round 2 after all the groundwork has been laid by American companies naturally don't have to spend as much. They are building off concepts that US companies paid to figure out. US companies spend more than $6 mil on server farms to run AI, but somehow China not only created better AI but also AI that performs better while using older technology, all for $6 million. This is just too much to believe.
They used chapt gbt as a base and built it from there

Here is the reason China has a jump on us with EVs.
LINK
Several US automakers use Chinese batteries.
quote:
FERNANDEZ: We are going to need to increase production in critical minerals by six to eight times what we have today. And that number is an exponential number when you get to lithium or graphite. We will need, for example, 42 times the amount of lithium that we use today and 25 times the amount of graphite.
NORTHAM: Fernandez says the U.S. is going to have to diversify its sources of minerals. But that's tough to do. To get the IRA tax breaks, companies have to get minerals domestically or with countries that have free trade agreements with the U.S. The problem is some of the largest deposits of nickel and cobalt are in Indonesia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, respectively, countries where the U.S. doesn't have free trade agreements. China, on the other hand, has large stakes in both countries. Benchmark Minerals' Miller says the U.S. has small amounts of those and other elements used in EVs, but permitting for mining and processing is cumbersome.

No. I just know how they do this. It’s widely known by everyone who has to actually deal with these companies.

Then where are the studies and why are they ducking the reputable independent engineers and UL testing? Also, some rando can’t do a serious evaluation. A real one, what you see Tesla and other US ones are doing require heavy OEM involvement. They need tons of performance data, testing, manufacturing audits, etc. there’s a reason they aren’t doing it.

China makes some of the best and worst batteries in the world. That’s pretty true about most of their industries. Sometimes they even come out of the same plant.
The real key isn’t in the cells though. The BMS is the secret sauce.

That is 100% wrong.
It's fundamentally different, there are several very cutting edge concepts they use that are entirely based on the WuDao architecture.
Specifically FP8, MoE, and MTP.
Chat GPT uses none of those.

Agreed, the supply side is brutal.
But China has tried to corner that market with their slave mines in DRC.

So why are they building so many coal-fired plants?
Good question. I have another.
Why are they building so many Nuclear plants?
Reduce air pollution: China is building nuclear power plants to reduce air pollution from coal-fired plants.
Reduce reliance on coal: China is building nuclear power plants to reduce its reliance on coal, which is difficult to transport and pollutes the air.
Reduce carbon emissions: China is building nuclear power plants to limit carbon dioxide emissions.
Increase energy security: China is building nuclear power plants to increase energy security.
How many nuclear power plants is China building?
As of April 2024, China had 55 operating nuclear reactors and 23 under construction
In August 2024, China approved 11 new nuclear reactors
China plans to build 6 to 8 new nuclear power plants each year
China plans to build 150 new nuclear reactors between 2020 and 2035

They are using everything and if we don't get our act together we'll never catch up.

Too long we’ve been more focused on propping up the world while China focused on propping up themselves. All we’ve seen in that time is a consistent decline in America quality of life while there’s have gotten better. They may not have a better quality of life than us yet but on the current trajectory in 20 years they will.

Underrated just because they don’t grossly over pay for military equipment doesn’t mean they have less. China also is rooting out corruption send officials to death.

This is a great breakdown of how China succeeded with AI. The AI bubble might be bigger than the Dotcom Bubble if this turns out to be true

They have infrastructure and ecosystems to support their industry unlike anything we have or will ever have.
