There was someone a few years ago --I think he suffered from paranoia or something-that went through and edited his thousands of posts erasing everything in them. It can be done, just will take a long time if you have a high post count

It's pretty simple, really, you just need your cookie session id and then a script that won't spam the site.

Script 1 iterates through find all posts by, accumulates post IDs from the database
Script 2 POSTs against the edit message form with the session id set in the cookie
