You southerners need to ban it in your own states then and not worry about the rest of the country.

It is no longer a national issue.

Might makes right. Unless you plan on installing a theocratic govt, this issue will haunt you.

Pretty clear some of them would like exactly that.

As long as it is their religion.

You either don't understand the point I made, or you're intentionally misunderstanding to push something. It doesn't matter to me which is true.

And that is exactly how things are currently. The Supreme Court ruled that it is not a right protected by the Constitution and they are correct. It's up to the states now.

It's a losing battle anyway...

How do you think the next three generations are gonna be voting??

Then why stand for anything? The wheat is being separated from the chaff. People know in their hearts what the right thing to do is. They try to rationalize it away, but they know what the correct answer is.

Religious or not, right is right and wrong is wrong. Some of cannot be convinced right is wrong and wrong is right no matter what arguments or tactics are used against us.

If it’s not banned everywhere, then it will just create inequality if some people can travel for abortions and some can’t

Well yeah, we’re a Christian nation and the laws should reflect that

Then why the big uproar here today?

Oh, because states that don't want an abortion ban voted against one either by referendum or by electing democrats.

All of the arguments for bans or limitations here are from people wanting to force their beliefs on others.

The government should not be in the murder business.

That is the democrat argument against Wisconsin's strongest in the nation ban. (There are no exceptions in our law that was put on the books in 1848.)

Inequality... very democrat of you to use that in your argument.

We have to learn to play the long game like the left has. We can't enact any change until we win elections and get some power back. We won't win any elections by making abortion a centerpiece of campaigns. Make inflation, crime, skyrocketing housing costs, and the failing economy the centerpieces of the campaigns and then work on abortion down the road after winning some elections and start swinging the pendulum back.

Oh yes. Turning your back on God and murdering unborn babies is the only way to go. What could possibly go wrong?

These people think the country should do a 180 after a SC decision.

Simply insane and totally unrealistic.

The dems took 100 years or more to get where they are today. It isn't being reversed overnight.

Your right is their wrong, and vise versa. What makes you think you're right? They feel the exact same way about their way of thinking.. and they feel they are 100% right. Why are you the one that's right and they're the ones that's wrong?

It really is an interesting question on how people can differ so much in what is right and what is wrong in the world. Two people on complete opposite ends of the argument over life. Kinda hard to fathom.

Short answer.. everyone's crazy.

That is a really difficult decision but I would be willing to bet most people with genuine Christian convictions would sacrifice themselves for their children.
With an aggressive gyn malignancy, fetal demise and outcome is sealed.

My guess would be because you don’t see it as a real person.
That would be a bad guess, especially in late-term nonabortive situations which nonetheless might endanger the baby. Often the equation is simply, a choice must be made and the mom can have other kids.

Are younger voters pro-choice but otherwise super conservative? To the contrary, they are obsessed with global warming, in favor of socialism, etc., etc. Even if the GOP became pro-choice, it wouldn't improve much with that demographic. They are also less likely to be married than past generations, and the GOP is more or less the party of the married middle class. They aren't joining that class.

I knew it and I have posted it on here many times. For the last 40 years whichever party makes headway on abortion law gets punished at the polls. As the Democrats start passing laws to make abortion legal until birth, they will start to be punished. Before then, though, the Republicans are going to take an arse whipping.
