Any liberal that claims to be a moderate is a lying motherfricker. There is nothing moderate about wanting to turn the greatest and most free nation in the history of the world into a socialist, totalitarian state.

Meh - I'm pretty sure that it does. Now, if you have beliefs that are on both sides of the aisle, so to speak, you might want to eschew labeling and I'm fine with that.

Not taking a position isn't the same as having a range of positions that defy labeling.

Both sides make it difficult for moderates. For example, the right will mock you if you are interested in listening to scientists, if you’re pro choice, if you have no issues with gays, etc. The left will mock you if you fight against the PC crowd or if you disagree on their economic policies, etc. Trump is interesting because he doesn’t really embrace social conservatism, which is a big reason why he won moderates imo.

This stuff is out there and just straight up does not get the push back that is afforded to the far right. There are numerous people near the levers of power who were actual members of the communist party. John Brennan, anyone? How many former skinheads have primetime cable shows? Elected to national office? None, and rightly so.

The cultural apparatuses of this country will destroy a Nazi, but not a Maoist. There is no argument to be made that the far left and far right pose equal threats.
