watch the Dems play this perfectly. They will say they will vacate and say they will leave with some of the RINOs, then come back in a vote a Dem as speaker of the house with a GOP majority

McCarthy is watching the end of his career.
If it were detrimental to the party as they claim...He really should bow out and nominate Scalise.
The lobby behind him is pushing him to ruin.

Gaetz and Co. would demand more. He, Boebert and Roy want to be kingmakers.
THIS is the real issue. Mainstream GOPers are not negotiating with terrorists who are trying to negotiate in bad faith.
The Freedom Caucus has no power and wants concessions giving them representation/power they could never dream of achieving on their own. People think if they're given this, they'll stop? Forever?

That will really restore faith in McCarthy (as a snake).

would rather deal with Dems than his own party.
not as it is.
20 members of his party said NO.
SEVERAL times.
He's now hoping to avoid a moderate retired Republican gets elected by 80 democrats and 140 Republicans.
he wants speaker so bad.
pretty soon friends need to tell him its not happening and to clear out his photos off the Speakers office desk.

Work with democrats before working with republicans. Got it. And he wonders why he's having troubles?

Then why are they such an extreme minority?

So explain that.

That's a great start.
What does that spineless, Dem-arse kisser stand for?

Why would the Dems want to vacate?
To be elected SOH, McCarthy needs a majority vote of the members PRESENT, and NOT a majority vote of the entire HOR. If the Dems are not present and vacate the House floor, then McCarthy wins SOH purely by winning a majority vote of the Republicans who are present.

Do you really believe the concessions sought by the FC are detrimental? Do you not want to see the rules changes pushed through by Pelosi changed?
