If we are diagnosing it more now then shouldn’t we see an equal number of adults being treated for autism?
There is absolutely an increase in adults being diagnosed without autism. That data is pretty easy to find. Not at the same rate as it is in children. This is because many adults who would have been diagnosed as a child with the recent more-broadened criteria are settled and have no reason to seek a diagnosis.

Then you'll like Tylen Vigen's spurious correlations. He's been posting these for years (e.g. post above), but he's started getting AI to write text and make images for his spurious correlations:

As people's ability to stay chill and not get worked up decreased, they were no longer in the right mindset to whip and/or nae nae with the same level of enthusiasm. The lack of 'not even mad' energy was a major hit to the whip nae nae community, leading to a decline in its overall coolness. Less zen led to less swag, and the meme just couldn't keep its groove without that tranquil vibe.

I think you are upset that your kids and your sisters' kids were administered the Hep B vaccine at birth. With your sister in Austin, her kids may fit in with the spectrum disorder acquired by the Hep Vaccine.
Could it be that during your 4th grade Hep shot at Barbe high school, it led to you developing autism? Maybe that explains your high post count?
You know you are developmentally on the spectrum and are now knighting for a spectrum disorder to be administered to the general population.
On a related note,
You need to come back to the Baton Rouge area so I can beat your arse in church league basketball again

Why are you going for the "attempting to make vague and possibly not correct or just impossible personal references" angle in response to an article disproving OP?

Excuse me, what the frick?
Is this like the 11D Candyland way to discuss how the definition of autism has expanded so far?

I tore my knee up playing basketball in a different church at home around 2011 and haven't played since.

Common sense tells me the numbers are manipulated and false.

Finally someone who has critical thinking skills. No need to quote "studies", common sense is enough!

See what I mean? Just total idiocy.

But you can’t convince me something isn’t causing a massive rise in mental issues with our young people.
Autism =/= "mental health issue"

There is no need for the vaccine in newborns...why is this a discussion

That's a completely different discussion than the OP to which I replied (and the post to which you replied)

When the schedule changes and the rates start to decrease we’ll revisit this :)
Posted on 9/1/25 at 5:59 pm to jbdawgs03
Of course the CDC did!
They’ll kill millions for money/power.

Oh is this when you remind me that you bookmarked my post?? :)

Well, back then testing isn't what it is now. If mom doesn't test positive for std, then no reason to poison a healthy newborn

Waitaminute, so now we are to believe many adults, some over 50, have autism? Yet there are no studies to confirm this because these adults are well adjusted and do not seek help?
How does anyone make that leap of faith? Almost like trusting Anthony Faucci with AIDS medication. Remember what happened with that?

That is more about how you perceive them and your "common sense" failing you. There is data on this.
Prevalence of autism in adults increasing rapidly in the U.S.
quote:
Eric Rubenstein and colleagues analyzed a random sample of Medicaid records from 2011 through 2019, identifying individuals 18 years of age or older with a diagnosis of autism. They report, “In this cohort study of 403,028 Medicaid enrollees with autism claims over nine years of claims data, autism prevalence increased from 4.2 per 1,000 enrollees in 2011 to 9.5 per 1,000 enrollees in 2019. The largest increase was observed in the 25- to 34-year age group and the smallest increase in the 55- to 64-year age group.” The percentage of Medicaid enrollees with ASD who also had intellectual disability (ID) dropped from 62 percent in 2011 to 46 percent in 2019, potentially indicating a greater awareness of autism in individuals without ID.
The researchers conclude, “These findings suggest that despite difficulties in identifying autism in adults, there is a considerable and growing population of autistic adults among Medicaid enrollees, which may have future implications for the Medicaid system and understanding the needs of the autistic population.”
Autism Diagnosis Among US Children and Adults, 2011-2022

The greatest relative increase in diagnosis rate from 2011 to 2022 occurred among 26-to-34-year-olds (450%)

Nobody, and I mean nobody, has argued for government mandates in this thread.
Some dishonest posters tried to manufacture that threat, but it's just dishonest people being dishonest and their acts don't reflect reality.

Yes there are many adults over 50 with ASD. Yes, data confirms that.
One of many data sets.

See above. The reason there is the smallest increase in older adults is because many (not all) have adjusted and have no reason to see a diagnosis.
I see now SFP posted the same. They will start calling us brothers soon.
