Rules on recalling this a-hole
Sorry baws, that is the State of LA's election code, US Constitution will trump state recall procedures.
quote:
Article 1, section 5 of the U. S. Constitution provides:
“Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns, and Qualifications of its own Members [….] Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behavior, and, with the Concurrence of two-thirds, expel a Member.” U.S. Const., art. 1, § 5.
Under this provision of the Constitution, it has been uniformly held that jurisdiction to determine the right of a member of Congress to a seat is vested exclusively in the houses themselves. See Barry v. United States, 279 U.S. 597 (1928); State ex rel. Smith v. District Court, 145 P. 721 (Mont. 1914). See also Thorsted v. Gregoire, 841 F. Supp. 1068 (W.D.Wash. 1994). The decision of the United States Supreme Court in Burton v. United States, 202 U.S. 344, (1905), supported this conclusion:
“The seat into which [a senator] was originally inducted as a Senator from Kansas could only become vacant by his death, or by expiration of his term of office, or by some direct action on the part of the Senate in the exercise of its constitutional powers.”

He really doesn’t give two fricks about the people of Louisiana.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Louisiana republican senators Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy voted Tuesday, Jan. 26, to end President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial before it begins.
They joined with 43 other republican senators in calling the trial “unconstitutional” because Trump is no longer in office. Democrats accuse the former commander-in-chief of stirring up a revolt at the capitol on Jan. 6, prior to President Joe Biden’s inauguration.
“As a senator, I am to serve as a juror,” Cassidy said. “I’ll listen to the evidence and seek out, as much as possible, what the truth is. That will determine how I vote.”
He said the rioters should be prosecuted as severely as the law will allow, but defended the Trump supporters who came to Washington, D.C. to protest peacefully.
“I had personal friends who came to that event. They are grandparents,” Cassidy said. “That entire group - minus the anarchists and insurrectionists - were there to exercise their first amendment rights. They should not be put into the same category.”
He laid out a worst-case hypothetical scenario for Trump in the impeachment trial, where witnesses testify that Trump knew some of his supporters planned to bomb and kill, but encouraged a march to capitol hill anyway.
“If, on the other hand, the president didn’t know any of this, and he’s basically just giving - like you would at a football game - a ‘Fight, fight, fight’ - that’s another thing. I’m not going to pre-judge. I’m going to listen to the evidence,” Sen. Cassidy said.

I emailed him a few weeks ago. That weasel replied “i voted for trump...blah blah”. I told him i would never vote for him again and tell everyone I can about what a traitor he was.

I’m of the opinion that he is a traitorous POS shite for bailing on the nation and supporting the installation of Biden. What he says going forward is irrelevant.

Someone needs to start a RECALL petition.

Hope he enjoys his last term.

This can happen. Recall cannot. Expulsion by 2/3rds of the senate is and always has been a possibility just because people are genuinely freaked out by his appearance.

You have to get the state legislature to censure him. It is the only thing you can do to a sitting senator. It kicks him off his committees... basically neuters him.

Nixon resigned to keep from being removed from office, so why all the silly drama?
Please don’t shoot the messenger. They will claim Nixon wasn’t eligible to run again so that’s why they dropped it.

I sincerely hope i don’t receive a generic response email from you as i have the last couple times i have sent you an email expressing my concerns with your behavior as an elected representative whom was elected to be a voice for me and others in Louisiana.
I recently read an article from the Epoch Times (Link provided below) that stated your desire to convict our former President, Donald Trump. Obviously you do not know much about our Constitution as impeachment is to be used to remove someone from office. Surely you are aware that Mr. Trump is no longer in office which would make this waste of tax payers money pointless.
You obviously did not listen to the former presidents speech calling for peaceful protest. Surely you cannot hold Mr. Trump responsible for the actions of a handful of people who broke the law.
If in fact you believe otherwise, i look forward to impeachment proceedings and your support of those proceedings for Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and many others on the left who’s comments over the years were far worse than Mr. Trump’s calling for “Peaceful Protest.”
I have been extremely disappointed in your actions after i voted for you in the recent election and encouraged others to do the same.
Should you continue on this reckless path you are on, i feel a recall effort will be warranted to remove you from office as you are clearly no longer listening to your constituents, and only serving your own self interest.
I hope you will do the right thing as i believe you to be a man of integrity, but please know that myself and many others in Louisiana are paying attention to what you and the rest of congress are doing. Please remember that you work for the people, and we pay the bills.

It is almost impossible to recall a sitting U.S. senator. It has to originate in the senate, not from his home state. The swamp takes care of it's own.
If that’s the case then shall we bombard all Republican senators and express our displeasures with Mr Cassidy to see if they can start the recall. Or at the least, let them know this bull shite ain’t flying here in Louisiana, or any other place and they need to wake the hell up. Drops in the bucket. But after a while, there’s that one drop that overflows the bucket.

If he’s recalled does JBE get to appoint his successor? For 6 years. He was just re-elected this fall.

He still thinks he has voter support.
There are a lot that need to be convinced he is not working to benefit the public.
Wonder who's paying him.
