If he does anything substantial now, it will be labeled a Stalinist purge. He needs a ton more information to come to light before the masses are cool with him firing people and dropping the hammer in other ways.

The entire problem would go a long way toward being solved if you get rid of Rod Rosenstein NOW. Put a good man in that spot before the midterms.
I do not believe Trump can afford to have him sitting there if the Dems should take the House and Senate. He will suddenly become very cooperative with their committees and all their attention will be laser focussed on removing Trump from office.
Indeed it would be disastrous for the nation, things could get very ugly IMO .

Ron Paul got called a lunatic by most Republicans in 2008 and 2012 when he called for the complete abolition of the NSA and FISA Court. He was correct then and he is correct now. A secret court authorizing clandestine domestic surveillance on its citizens has no place in a society that calls itself the "Land of the Free". And yet Republicans still by and large vote to give the NSA more and more power.

The only logical explanation is that he is letting all of them commit perjury while under oath and figuratively hang themselves with their public comments before releasing everything.
The radical left has already decided that spying on a political opponent is no big deal.
Getting all of these crooks on record lying and covering up the facts will play well with the moderate left and independents.
Given the extremely short attention spans of the public the smart move is to let this slowly build until September and then drop the bomb in October.
It will be too late for the radical left to backtrack, spin, get new candidates, etc.
The radical left has already decided that spying on a political opponent is no big deal.
Getting all of these crooks on record lying and covering up the facts will play well with the moderate left and independents.
