We've tried that before. Didn't exactly work out.

The SF took out their target cartel annnnnd replaced it as the new cartel

We could wipe out these people if we wanted to.

Wiping these people out would wipe out the law enforcement structure that pretends that they want to wipe these people out.

Trump would be responsible for a terror campaign well inside the interior of the nation.

Maybe we can lob some $1M missiles at these drones, since DoD hasn't bothered with an effective counter-drone program.

We're not talking about training people to fight the cartels but taking them out directly

If he did it unilaterally but if he worked through congress on a declaration of war (after informing the Mexican government they need to clean it up or else) it wouldn’t be terror.

I think it’s past time we use military on our southern border and to stem the tide of drugs pouring over. Fentanyl has killed more Americans than 9/11.

We should treat the Cartels exactly how Israel deals with high value targets in Hamas. Make it abundantly clear that we can take out leaders with extraordinarily precise attacks. I mean does anyone want to come out publicly in Palestine as being in a leadership position, seems like a pretty dangerous choice to make nowadays

The best option is too lock down the border using the military, and go from there.
Our government keeps playing games with Mexico. frick them.

Then you keep taking them out until no one wants to be taken out

That choice could cost us a war with China.

Drone and robot warfare is clearly the future, both from a cost and an effectiveness standpoint.

I can’t imagine DARPA can’t come up with some means to jam a drone platform, but I’ve been disappointed too many times before to assume we are making intelligent decisions as far as arms appropriations go.

it would also mean wiping out the elected and bureaucratic governmental people here who don't want the cartels wiped out

....not that i have a problem with that

The CIA isn't going to like you or anyone else trying to harm their pet projects... You have to get rid of the bullshite the CIA and DOJ has been pulling then focus on the cartels...

Secure the border first though... Absolutely close it down...

We will need natives as operators for these sorts of missions.

Mexico just fought basically a long and bloody civil war with the cartels and they couldn't do it. You think a bunch of random American gringos can?

The problem we had in Afghanistan is that our government sent us there to fight a religious war when everyone on the ground knew it was a drug war disguised as a Jihad type war
