That's exactly what this country needs, less lying POS's with flair like Bill Clinton and Obozo.

We need practical thinkers who put America above politics, we need politicians who aren't trying to be all things to all people

Completely unfair to denigrate Bill Clinton like this. He was an incredibly pragmatic president and presided over a sort of "golden age" of the latter 20th century. No significant wars, roaring economy, lots of bipartisanship spirit in Washington, the last administration under which America was the consensus "greatest nation in the world".

ecause we know that she's lying and pandering to the schlubs who care about that nonsense. She's almost certainly an atheist as is Obama. But Dubya, Romney, Huckabee, and Carson on the otherhand… they literally believe this stuff. You can choose to be okay with that - I'm not.

So you like her even more because, while she claims to believe in what you clearly despise, you "know" she is lying about it? And that's a good thing to you? And if she wasn't a liar, you would actually hate her for her beliefs?

You have got to be the biggest fricking retard on this site.

Our sitting President disagrees with that assertion

But is the perfect example of the validity of the assertion.

You call yourself a Christian yet your curse and denigrate people I. Every post you make (and violate board rules but you're conservative so admins no care). What preacher tells you your actions get you a ticket to Heaven?

Sir Winston, just because Willie was a charismatic liar makes him no less a liar. His having Congressional leaders willing to walk across the isle to work towards common solutions played much more heavily during his admin that those guys get credit for.

The bunch in there now is nothing more than a rubber stamp for Barry's agenda.

Bill Clinton was only over a GOLDEN AGE because of 4 things, three which he had nothing to do with and one which he was denied.

1. Reagan Revolution / cut taxes and created a business atmosphere where businesses flourished.

2. George Bush one, who dealt with and reformed the banking issues in his term.

3. The Republicans winning the House in 1994 causing Bill Clinton to change his liberal course and getting welfare reform and other Republican ideas passed.

4. Not getting his DUMB healthcare bill passed which would have destroyed the economy.

Clinton did redo the Jimmy Carter community investment bill, which forced banks to lend money to people that were suspect, leading to the housing bubble, which destroyed our economy in 2007.

Bill Clinton had sex with an intern.

Bill Clinton lied under oath.

Bill Clinton was accused of raping a woman.

Bill Clinton is a POS.

I'm not trying to derail the thread, but you atheists piss me off when you put words into the bible that aren't there. The 6k years old meme was created by an Irish Scholar centuries ago, who, interpreting the bible, claimed it asserted that the earth is only that old.

Created by an irish scholar? You don't have to be an irish scholar to track the actual genealogy contained in the bible. It's in there.

Archbishop James Ussher in the 17th century dated the creation date at 4004 BC (roughly 6,000 years ago)

Johannes Kepler (1571–1630), who formulated the laws of planetary motion, calculated a creation date of 3992 BC (roughly 6,000 years ago).

Isaac Newton (1643–1727) vigorously defended a creation date of about 4,000 BC (roughly 6,000 years ago).

Where are they getting this? The genealogy in the bible.

Genesis Chapter 5 gives the genealogy and ages of Adam through Noah; Genesis 11 provides the genealogy and ages of Noah through Abraham; Matthew Chapter 1 offers the genealogy of Abraham through Jesus. The bible is clear on these dates...it actually uses numbers.

Now, the earth, we know is 4.6 billion years old. Maybe the bible just missed a few people or generations?? Not likely, it would mean that the bible missed literally millions and millions of generations to bridge that gap.

Or maybe "day" doesn't mean "day" like we now think of day...so, maybe god created the earth and then waited a while to place adam on earth. Again, possible...but, why would god wait 4.599999999999 billion years to put adam on the earth. What was he doing in that time?

(Queue the believers to protest that words do not mean what they say)

The brother of Christ did.

Epistle of James:

quote:

14What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?15If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20

Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works

; 23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. 24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?26For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.[18]

Someone has not been teaching you Christianity my friend.

I'd strongly consider supporting Carson.

He seriously can't be worse than what we have now. I think fresh perspective of not living your life inside of politics would be welcome.
