There is video of recent US soldiers training Afghan soldiers to do a simple jumping Jack and failing. They were farmers stuck 100 years in the past, not soldiers

Yes but this ending wasn’t inevitable. This ending occurred because the U.S. occupied and installed a puppet regime. That was the wrong choice and that should be the lesson that is learned. But it won’t be. Vietnam, Iraq, now Afghanistan.
