Carey Hart reminds us why we need “assault weapons”

In California no less.
I stole this from reddit but I thought it was worth bringing here as these situations are important reminders of why we can’t always count on the government to protect what is ours.
Tangentialy, I love the idiots who reject Hart by pleading, “there must be another way.” Yet they are woefully unimaginative when it comes to proposing what these “other ways” should consist of.
In California no less.

Meh - putting yourself in harms way to protect your instapot and flat screen TV seems stupid. So in the spirit of self preservation, how about leave and rely on Insrance to cover the cost of damages that idiot looters cause.
That’s probably not “imaginative” enough for you but it’s is “intelligent”.

You are free to go hide behind the women and children. That would likely be the intelligent thing for you to do. And most in keeping with your testicular fortitude. Don’t fret, the rest of us will pay for the inflated value of your pedo art and unread hardback books via raised insurance premiums.

I wouldn’t go that far but everyone there does act like they are super duper punk rock. Similar to baws in the south fronting like they are all world class outdoorsmen since the have Huk ball cap and browning sticker on the leased truck.

what about people that own businesses, especially a retail type business? You know why insurance is expensive?
